Great location near the Nijo station. Great space, modern and clean. Staff were very responsive, offering a beautiful gift of paper and a pen at the end of the stay.
Very few windows and all are frosted for privacy except for the doors to the fountain. However, the ceilings are high so you do not notice it. Staff were very responsive with any equations or concerns that came up. Most all were our user error.

It is a very large, comfortable, well appointed and conveniently located lodging. I had injured my feet and needed to stay in to rest, treat with ice and recuperate. It was unfortunate that I had to miss a couple days of sightseeing. But I was very fortunate to be staying at Kyoyado USASGI

The hosts received us upon arrival and spent about one hour going over all the aspects of the property. Instead of keys, the gate and the front door opened with a keypad code. The house is fully equipped with a washer/dryer unit, 2 high-end Toto fully automatic toilets, a shower, and a jetted bathtub, Japanese style. The kitchen has an induction stove top, a small electric grill, a toaster oven, a microwave, and so forth. The hosts are super responsive and helpful. Around the corner, there's a huge supermarket with a pharmacy/drugstore, restaurants, and the Nijo Station (trains & subway).
This neighborhood is more residential and just a little further away from the hyper-tourist area some travellers prefer, which suited us perfectly. Thanks to buses, taxis, and trains, it was never a problem to reach sightseeing destinations within minutes.
It was very spacious and the location near the subway/train made it easy to get around. The hosts were great and overall the experience was wonderful. The washer/dryer saved us and there a grocery store nearby as well.
Loved the location of the house, the place was clean, and the extra space was nice. Having two bathrooms was useful for the family. There is a pastry shop close by that we are still talking about! The staff was very pleasant and easy.
The upstairs was warm and couldn’t figure out how to cool it down to a comfortable temp for sleeping.
Great location close to Nijo Station, making exploring Kyoto easy. Staff where lovely and helpful. Accommodation itself was great - combination of traditional and modern styles with lots of space in all rooms and we loved the wet-room and large bath! Full kitchen with ample cutlery, glasses, dishes and stove/oven/microwave for eating in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kyoto!
The staircase felt narrow and steep, but assume this is the traditional style.
