Lankapura Heritage

This place is a gem. We loved relaxing by the pool and having a great view of Lions Rock. The team was super helpful and helped us book most of our activities. We also got breakfast every morning here which was a lot of food and delicious. The room was also clean and spacious with aircon. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

Sin duda, uno de los alojamientos con más encanto en el que nos alojamos durante nuestro viaje por Sri Lanka. Es sencillo, pero tiene un encanto especial y unas vistas insuperables. Despertar, abrir las cortinas de la habitación y encontrarte con el Lion Rock justo enfrente fue un momento inolvidable. Además, el personal fue excepcional: muy amable y atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudarnos a organizar los tuk-tuks y a darnos recomendaciones para visitar la zona. Una experiencia de 10.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, spoke good English, and were always very friendly. The view from the pool was absolutely stunning, and in the evening the fairy lights created a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere.

The breakfast was delicious, and we could choose between two different breakfast options, which we really appreciated. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

S. Vorbemerkung (:

De locatie met uitzicht op de stad was heel mooi.

Heel vriendelijk personeel, mijn vriend had zijn voet omgeslagen en ze hebben voor balsem en ijs gezorgd en bij de dichtstbijzijnde apotheek een verband gehaald! We waren ook vroeger aangekomen en mochten alvast aan het zwembad vertoeven en ze hebben een extra ontbijt voorzien voor ons!

Door de kleinschaligheid van het hotel heeft het een intieme en rustige setting. Daarnaast is het uitzicht op Lion rock prachtig en kan je zowel zwemmen als ontbijten met dit uitzicht erbij. Het hotel ligt ook op wandelafstand van verschillende restaurantjes en ook de ingang van Lion rock is goed doenbaar te voet. Het hotel serveert ook een fijne keuze tussen westers en sri lankaans ontbijt. Beide uitgebreid en je kan elke dag opnieuw kiezen wat je voorkeur is voor de ochtend erna.

Of course the view was great but we also loved everything about this property. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was great. The rooms were new and clean. Was no building works going on as seen in other comments (we were in the new rooms). Great value for money. Lovely pool area

Staff were very helpful, location was excellent close to lions rock, excellent views over rice field with lions rock in the background, good sized pool, delicious breakfast (especially the coconut pancake)

Lankapura is a real treasure. The location is unbeatable in Sigiriya, with the swimming pool and the rooms facing the Lion Rock and lush paddy fields in between. We loved the Sri Lanka breakfast and just sitting in the dining area, facing the rock, having breakfast immersed in nature is the perfect way of starting the day. The staff is very attentive, kind and professional. We would have stayed one more night, but unfortunately all the rooms were already booked. Definitely recommend.
