Hotel Idania

Just spent 2 weeks at this wonderful family run hotel with a real Italian feel. Ideal location close to the vibrant town of Bardolino, a 2 minute walk to a vast range of excellent restaurants.

The hotel is run by a team of staff that couldn't do more for you. Rooms and public areas are all spotless and housekeeping do a fantastic job.

Pool area is big enough with plenty of beds, again the area is kept clean with free towels available .

It is at the side of a busy main road but we never let it either us and it certainly didn't spoil our stay.

As many other guests there at the time of our stay, we'll definitely be returning.

Although this hotel was only a 3 star we had 5 star treatment from the fabulous stafff. It’s a family run hotel and their attention to customer service was fabulous. Breakfast was perfect for our needs and tastes. Pool area was nice and we enjoyed cooling off after a long days sightseeing. The hotel is set on the main road so you do get the sound of vehicles as your on your sun longer but that didn’t bother us. Comfy beds and rooms cleaned every day. A perfect location in a beautiful town! We will be back. Thank you.

The location was great, right close to the centre of Bardolino, few minute walk to a great pizza restaurant and then a few more to the lake.

The whole hotel was clean, and tidy throughout, and staff all worked hard.

Aircon in the rooms was great and worked well. Good WiFi coverage and showers were a good water pressure.

There wasn’t a huge amount of atmosphere in the bar area, and people didn’t seem to use it. There was low music, but it was quiet, but good for playing a couple of games of cards, and we were there during the World Cup and they did put the football on their small TV in the bar area.

Rooms were clean and tidy and on par with similar hotel rooms across Europe.

The pool area is noisy as right next to the road, so lots of car/bike noise through out the day.

However getting sun-beds were fine, we managed to get some every day and went down around 8.30/9am ish.

Pool was a great refreshing temperature.

Drinks in the bar was cash only or charge to room, and average prices €4 for soft drinks €5 for beer.

You could also get a small bowl of crisps.

Snacks were lacking though, and all microwave/pre-cooked and warmed up variety, so not particularly appealing.

The bar service was also a bit hit and miss at times as seemed the staff had other duties so were often away from the bar for 10-15 mins at a time.

Breakfast was fine, good selection but other than toast, scrambled eggs and bacon no other hot food, although this was fine for us.

Location was also close to the bus stop for travelling around the lake and into Verona.

Overall we had a great time in Bardolino, and will visit the village again, but probably wouldn’t stay at this hotel again, as would prefer a quieter pool area, and a bar-snack area with more choice and service throughout the day.

However it was good value for money overall.

Lovely family run hotel . 2 mins walk from bus station to take you to other towns . 5 min walk down to the front . Spotlessly clean . Pool is amazing . Staff are lovely and make you most welcome . Great breakfast , eggs , bacon , pastries , pancakes , cereals , juices , cold meats , cheeses etc . Excellent choice .

We stayed here for a week in the May half term holidays.
Hotel Idania is a lovely traditional Italian hotel, a little old fashioned in places, but we liked that about it, and thought it added to its charm.
The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy, the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and cannot do enough for you.
The pool area, again is clean and tidy, the pool is a decent size, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available. Pool towels are provided by reception.
Breakfast was adequate, and catered for most tastes, including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, bread, meats, sweet options like pancakes and cakes, bacon and scrambled egg. The coffee machine was tempremental, often giving just hot milk rather than latte. The dining room was huge, and there was an option to eat outside.
The bar was well stocked and reasonable in price.
Location is excellent, just a few minutes walk into Bardolino.
There was plenty of free parking available at the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely return.

A very nice Hotel in Bardolino close to the shores of Lake Garda which we have visited on quite a few occasions in and around the Hotel is very nice and walking up to La Rokka very peacefully indeed but try walking alongside the lakeside path to Garda and the nightmare begins due to the lack of restraint of the cyclists on their big electric bikes weaving in and out of the pedestrians disregarding all signs with a could not careless attitude and the sad thing is the local police turn a blind eye to it all ,with more and more electric bikes being used on these paths the people who walk along them are now putting themselves in great danger and its not very pleasant hence we have decided never to go back ,a sad day
