Best sea view hotel!
Pros:

The location was the absolute highlight of this property. It was right on the beach and we took the sea view room and we were literally seeing the ocean at all times. It felt like having a private beach cause I literally had to go down and I was on the beach. The mixologist was amazing and made some solid cocktails. The doggos were the cutest.

Cons:

For the money it charged, services were a little off. One of the bedside plug points weren’t working and they couldn’t fix it. The food was also average.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Dickwella Beach Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

Awful. If you don’t want your vacation to be ruined, don’t go there
Cons:

I never faced such a rudeness from the hotel manager. They said there will be no electricity for 2 hours, but actually almost for 6 hours we had to stay without ac and possibility to charge our phones, and there’s no generator in the hotel . My mom couldn’t handle the heat and she felt bad. When I talked about this with manager, she started shouting, interrupting me, telling that this is my problem. So we spent 2 days in really bad mood.

Also they were not ready to give us the room on time, we had to wait till around 3 p.m

Worst manager
Cons:

The manager was extremely rude. They canceled my booking after i checked in and stayed, because they knew I’m going to complain because there was no electricity for more than 5 hours, no generator at the hotel , hence no AC and no possibility to charge our phones. All our plans were destroyed because of that and when I talked the next day to the manager, she kept interrupting me and talking really rude

Location!!

Cons:

One day I was in the lobby, and the construction workers started a fire in the morning. Not only is it completely uncomfortable for the guests, but it is also very dangerous to everyone's health and the environment. A completely irresponsible action.

Mooie plaats met prachtig strand en toch dicht bij Hirikitiya

heel mooi en ruime kamers. Prachtig strand. beachcafé aanwezig . goeie receptie. Dicht bij Hirikitiya.

Cons:

Geen zwembad , maar ook niet echt nodig. we zaten in de goedkoopste kamer , airco , bed , muggennet was allemaal beetjes verouderd. Weinig vegan options.

Horrible
Pros:

What u can say is the location is beautiful, but the hotel is outdated, shower is hopeless and no proper hot water.
We are really disappointed and couldn't believe booking.com advertised this gives a different perspective.

Cons:

No point wasting my time for this review.

Will not recommend to anyone ever!
Pros:

Food was terrible
Rooms and stairway not clean enough
Soap wasn’t available

Couldn’t even get tea or coffee so we had to get rid of breakfast altogether
No effort to provide tea or coffee from elsewhere apparently the machine was broken!

Good property, location, amazing beach & definitely value for money. The property is old and requires maintenance.
Pros:

Beach access and great location to all nearby attractions, cafés and beaches

Cons:

The shower in our room was not functional and upon requesting the staff to change the room they offered us a lower category room stating that was the only one available. We didn’t change the room because of our room was beach facing! They didn’t offer to repair / change the shower during 2 days of our stay.
