The room was not clean. There were dead insects and spider webs, and even after we specifically asked the staff to clean them, only some of them were removed.

The walls were stained, and we couldn’t really use the balcony because there were monkeys around and we were warned not to open the balcony door. Apparently, this was also an issue in other rooms. This made us wonder what the point of having a balcony is if guests are advised not to use it.

The soundproofing was also poor. We could clearly hear people talking in the hallway, as well as noise from the floor above, especially while we were in the bathroom.

Overall, the staff was not very helpful. There seemed to be a lot of employees around, but unfortunately, this did not translate into good cleaning or good service.

The main positive point is the location, which is excellent. However, apart from the location, our experience was disappointing. If location is your main priority, this hotel may work for you, but otherwise, I would not expect a high standard of cleanliness or service.

Good place. Met the expectations that one has feom a Hotel. Polite and helpful staff. Good location, close to the Kandy lake and central market place. Overall good experience.

Cons:

The one thing this property could do better is to review their pricing. For off-season booking, the pricing could have been much lower.

Unbeatable Views and Ideal Location
Pros:

If you are coming to Kandy—especially during the Esala Perahera—this hotel is an absolute gem. Waking up to direct views of Kandy Lake and the temple right from our bedroom window was unforgettable.

During the festival evenings, the surrounding roads close completely to vehicle traffic until midnight. While others were stuck navigating roadblocks and waiting for transport, we enjoyed the luxury of simply strolling back to our hotel in minutes.

Beyond the unbeatable location, the hospitality truly stood out. The young manager was wonderfully attentive, professional, and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, supported by a very friendly staff. Starting the day at the rooftop restaurant with a hearty breakfast overlooking the water was a treat, and it was equally handy for a quiet lunch or dinner. We would gladly stay here again!

Pros:

Good hotel with an amazing view! The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super friendly and always smiling.

Cons:

The only downside is that the hotel could use some improvements. We found some worms in the room, and there were also some holes in the bathroom.

Замечательное расположение отеля в 3-х минутах от набережной и в 10 минутах ходьбы от Храма Зуба Будды. Номера просторные, комфортные, все необходимое имеется, удобные кровати, белоснежные полотенца и белье, везде чисто. Завтрак хороший. Персонал очень внимательный и доброжелательный. У нас был номер с шикарным видом на озеро и Храм Зуба Будды. Было очень приятно посидеть с чашечкой чая на балконе, любуясь на озеро и наблюдая за обезьянками.

Cons:

Все понравилось, с удовольствием бы вернулись.

This is an amazing little gem just above the lake. The location is perfect - quick access to the city's main attractions and a mall.
The breakfast is a wonderful buffet with lots of choices.
The rooms are big and comfortable. The AC works very well.
