Pros:

Buen hotel en Ksndy, muy céntrico. Desayuno magnífico en una terraza con vistas al lago de Kandy. La dueña muy amable, nos regaló té al irnos.

Bra hotell som ligger ekstremt godt til i Kandy

Frokosten. Etter 22:00 er hotellet stengt, vi ringte på ringeklokke i 10 minutter fra 22:15-22:25 uten noe respons og siden man ikke hører om den fungerte prøvde vi å ringe hotellet uten svar, kom etter hvert en person som sa han hadde vært på do. Vi ba han henge opp et skilt slik at man vet at det kommer noen om litt.

An oasis of calm away from the bustle of Kandy
Pros:

A quiet guest house, walking distance to Kandy’s sights, with a stunning view. The family room was incredibly spacious and the hosts kindly did our laundry which was returned early the following morning.
We loved the buffet breakfast which had a delicious and extensive choice of Sri Lankan and western food.

I would definitely not recommend staying here, as it was a terrible experience from start to finish. There was no hot water in the bathroom, so we were forced to take a freezing cold shower. On top of that, there was a very unpleasant, foul smell throughout the entire hotel and inside our room. To make matters worse, we found a large spider right inside our room, which I have attached a photo of. Hygiene and cleanliness are clearly not a priority for this establishment. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic stay, save your money and look elsewhere.

Sweet stay in Kandy
Pros:

We had a great stay at Lotus Lake. The staff was very kind and welcoming and took the time to help us with personal requests. The breakfast was tasty Sri Lankan food. It was an easy walk down to the lake and town. Also the WiFi was good and the bed was comfortable. A very good stay.

La posizione, la colazione in terrazza, il personale gentile

Cons:

Totalmente disorganizzati… la nostra camera originariamente era praticamente dentro la sala della colazione, cosa non specificata al momento della prenotazione. In ogni caso, facendo presente questa cosa ci hanno spostato di camera. Nella camera nuova il Wi-Fi il primo giorno non funzionava e gli asciugamani non erano presenti. Il bagno perdeva acqua e abbiamo avuto il tappetino fradicio per due giorni. Su Booking non è specificato che accettano solo i contanti, quando arrivi c’è un cartello in ingresso che specifica che bisogna pagare “only cash”. Ovviamente, su richiesta, il pos è magicamente comparso. Oggi avevamo il pullman per Nuwara Eliya alle 8, abbiamo chiesto di fare colazione alle 7 e ci hanno detto che non era possibile. Abbiamo quindi aspettato le 7:30, orario previsto di inizio della colazione, e non c’era ancora niente di pronto. Oltre al fatto che la scelta è minima. Non so, forse per il prezzo che ha conviene prenotare altrove.

La ubicación y las vistas eran geniales. La habitación era grande y la cama cómoda. El baño también estaba muy bien. El personal muy atento, nos hicieron la colada.

Cons:

Quizás que las ventanas del balcón no estuvieran insonorizadas y el desayuno buffet para mi gusto algo pobre.
