Yaluwa Tourist Rest & cooking class

We had a lovely stay at Yaluwa Tourist Rest. The host is such a kind and sweet lady. From the moment we arrived, she was always happy to help us organise activities and make our stay as nice as possible.

The food is also amazing! She cooks with fresh ingredients and everything was delicious. We definitely recommend joining her cooking class, where she shares some of her tasty recipes.

The rooms are clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. She is helped in the kitchen by two other lovely ladies, and together they are a great team!

She also works with local tuk-tuk drivers who charge fair prices, similar to PickMe, which was very convenient.

We really recommend this homestay, especially because of the lovely host. She made us feel very welcome and made our stay extra special! ❤️

Nous ne pouvons que conseiller un séjour dans ce super petit hôtel. L’hôte est à l’image de la ville, authentique! Chaya est une personne aux petits soins, toujours prête à aider pour rendre notre séjour aussi parfait que possible. Nous avions eu une grande chambre très bien !
Le personnel qui entoure Chaya est également chaleureux, bienveillant et toujours souriant !
Les repas sont incroyablement excellents.
Nous vous conseillons de prendre les tours de la ville qu’elle propose car ils permettent de voir le plus important et nous avons eu un incroyable chauffeur / guide (un immense merci à Ajith).
Enfin, c’était parfait ! Nous sommes repartis triste de laisser ce havre de paix.

Das Zimmer ist sehr großzügig, alles ist sehr schön, neu, sauber und modern ausgestattet, dass Bett groß und komfortabel. Die Anlage hat einen schönen Garten, in dem sich auch der schöne Essbereich befindet - also Mahlzeiten mit Blick ins Grüne! Wir haben die Unterkunft für Zwischenstop zwischen Bahnhof Colombo und Wilpattu benötigt. Da es etwas außerhalb ist, hat man seine Ruhe. Die Managerin spricht sehr gut Englisch, ist sehr professionell und hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns auch bei den Transfers geholfen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Amazing stay! Nice and very clean room in a very nice area. But the best about this stay is the host - Yaluwa. She is a very kind and welcoming person. It feels like you staying with your aunt. She linked us with an amazing tuk tuk guide. Make sure to opt for cooking class as well. That was fun and very tasty! Thank you!

Chaya ist eine absolut freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeberin.
Die Bungalows sind super sauber und liegen in einer kleinen sehr gepflegten Parkanlage. Frühstück sowie Abendessen waren sehr lecker, frisch gekocht und absolut authentisch.
Wir können nicht nur das Guest House sondern auch den Kochkurs nur empfehlen.

Værten var usædvanlig gæstfri , hjælpsom og omsorgsfuld. Morgenmaden var fantastisk. Værten var yderst hjælpsom med at finde forslag til, hvad vi kunne være interesseret i at opleve i området. Hun fandt en meget dygtig tourguide Amara, som viste os Mihintale.
Derudover havde vi en fantastisk oplevelse med at deltage i cooking class, hvor vi lærte om lokale srilankanske retter.

L' accueil de Chaya nous a enchanté! Elle a été aux petits soins, tout en étant très respectueuse. La nourriture était excellente et très généreuse. Nous avons pu y dîner. Nous avons adoré ses petits déjeuners et toutes les attentions qui venaient avec. Idem pour la chambre qui était très propre et confortable. Également, nous avons pu profiter de ses connaissances (guides) et de ses conseils pour visiter les divers sites d' Anuradhapura. Elle nous a aidé à organiser notre séjour selon nos envies et nos besoins. Chaya offre également la location de vélos pour aller au site archéologique. Enfin, Yaluwa est situé dans un environnement calme et nous avons pu profiter de son magnifique jardin arboré. Vraiment, un coup de coeur !! Nous recommandons vivement!

Large and conformable room with a private terrace. On arrival I immediately felt relaxed and content. It is wonderfully quiet and peaceful with a garden full of trees and flowers.
Chaya has excellent English and I was able to explore and she to explain and facilitate lots of options for sightseeing and transportation.
You can opt for an evening meal which was brilliant with a choice of 5 vegetarian...as requested.. curries.
Breakfast was plentiful and made up of traditional Sri Lanka food which varied ea h morning.
I would highly recommend staying here and using it as a base to explore the surrounding area.

Our host , Chaya is very dedicated in her assistance to her guests.
Breakfast was freshly cooked in frontbof us. ... the papaya f fresh juice was amazing !!
Room was spacious.
Garden is well maintained and neat.
We enjoyed such a peaceful atmosphere.
The ancient town is very near ( 15 mins in a tuk tuk)
Dinner prepared by her was tasty n delicious

アヌラーダプラに着く前にツアーガードにぼったくりされそうになりとても不快な思いをしたので
良いガイドさんを紹介していただいて助かりました。

Quiet with lovely area to sit outside our room. The owner was genuinely interested and cared about our needs. Hot water, comfy bed great food would stay again.

部屋の設備は何も問題なく快適でした。アヌラーダプラの寺院めぐりのためのアドバイスをしてくれて助かりました。食事はボリュームが多くて食べきれませんでした。近くにスーパーもあるので、特に問題ないです。入口から部屋までにいく庭も整備されていてきれいです。
