So, so, so happy we stayed at Lavender Home and booked our Yala Safari through them! ❤️ Honestly, such wonderful people. The owner is one of the kindest and most caring people we’ve met. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, even bringing us juice whenever we needed it and packing breakfast for our early morning safari.

He’d been in touch one week prior to us arriving and that is the greatest support one needs before flying to a new place!

We were so lucky to spot 2 leopards, loads of elephants and crocodiles! Yala is honestly one of the most beautiful national parks we’ve ever visited, and the safari experience was amazing.

The owner even arranged a taxi for us from Colombo Airport to Yala, and the driver was such a lovely man. He even offered to take us on an evening drive at no extra charge. It’s these little things that make a place truly special.

Couldn’t recommend Lavender Home enough! We’d come back here in a heartbeat. 🥹❤️

Pros:

La ubicación y vistas, el trato del personal, buena limpieza y camas cómodas. Cenamos y desayunamos allí y la verdad que de lo mejorcito del país, muy rico todo. Nos trataron como si fuéramos de la familia, encantadores. Estuvimos muy agusto, gracias!

Cons:

Personalmente, creo que les faltan mosquiteras en las camas. No sé si fué la época o la lluvia de ese día, pero a media tarde/noche se llenó la terraza de una gran cantidad de insectos y a veces entraban en la habitación. Por lo demás, todo perfecto.

Hotel familiar y encantador con extraordinarias vistas a los arrozales desde la terraza. Personal súper amable y servicial que te ayudan en todo. Nos gestionaron el safari a Yala y fue una experiencia inolvidable, además nos permitieron hacer el check out tarde para podernos duchar después del safari. Nos gestionaron el taxi a nuestro siguiente destino a muy buen precio. Nos prepararon comida y cena que estaba riquísima. Una experiencia fantástica.

Un lloc fantàstic des d'on explorar la zona i fer el Safari de Yala.
Pros:

Ha estat una estada fantàstica. Hem pogut gaudir de la zona perfectament des del Lavender Home, vam organitzar amb ells el Yala Safari i va ser tot molt puntual i ens van preparar un esmorzar ben bo per prendre al parc. També vam gaudir d'una estada tranquila a l'habitació que té un balcó comunitari amb vistes cap a un camp i des d'on un es pot relaxar a la tumbona. L'atenció va ser boníssima en tot moment, recomanem molt l'estada aquí per poder gaudir de la zona! Com estàvem dos dies, vam poder organitzar també amb ells per rentar la roba i ens va anar fantàstic!

Ruhiger, familiärer Ort mit fantastischem Essen.

Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr ruhigen, friedlichen Umgebung. Der perfekte Ort vor einer Yala-Safari, welche wir über das Hotel gebucht haben. Das Essen war absolut fantastisch. Wir haben den Aufenthalt wirklich sehr genossen.

Absolutely excellent.
Pros:

Absolute beautiful property in a stunning location. The lady cooked for us on our first night and it was delicious. Excellent room, beautiful views, very quiet for a great nights sleep before a trip to Yala.

Cons:

Nothing but you would need a driver to take you and pick you up as it’s a little off the beaten track.
