Pros:

Basic, budget accommodation but comfortable and clean. Pool was refreshing and they arranged a Yala Safari for me which was convenient.

Perfekte Lage für Safaris
Pros:

Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat und bei der Safaribuchung geholfen und bei dem Organisieren eines Taxis nach Ella. Das Zimmer hatte einen schönen Ausblick und sehr großen Außenbereich :)

very well planned by owner. gave us a nice view room and early morning a nice jeep was arrived to take us to the safari. truly enjoyed the adventure from start to end. tons of different wildlife in Sri Lanka and this is great way to see a lot of it. Milk feeding session was very interesting too. local buffet lunch was very delicious. thank you

The best place to stay in Tissamaharama
Pros:

Everything.
The owner and staff are super nice.
The food in the restaurant was delicious.
The location is great. A small supermarket in 3 minutes walk, a bigger supermarket (Cargills) in 10 minutes walk.
There are a few ATM's in about 5 minutes walk
There is a nice lake nearby on walking distance with some trees with a bat colony. They fly out around 6.30 pm, which is nice to watch.
The hotel has a very nice swimming pool with view on some rice paddies.
The owner booked a full day safari in Yala National Park for us, which was great (we saw 3 leopards and a sloth boar, amongst various other animal and birds).
We booked originally 3 nights, but extended 3 more nights.
We had a great time.

Great location, lovely food, relaxed pool time, bad Yala safari
Pros:

This guesthouse is beautifully situated within rice paddies. It's very peaceful. From here it's a nice stroll to a big lake where you can see a lovely sunset with lots of birds and afterwards thousands of flying foxes passing by.

We enjoyed a quick check-in and a nice welcome drink. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. There is a small porch in front of the room with chairs to enjoy a relaxed day. Even better is the incredible pool with views of the rice paddies and palm trees.

In the elevated restaurant we had a delicious and freshly cooked dinner. The wife of the owner is a really good cook. It perfectly matched our taste (not too spicy for us foreigners, but well seasoned ;-) ).

Cons:

Don't book a safari tour to Yala National Park at the guesthouse! We've done several safaris in different countries of the world (Namibia, Tanzania, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka) - but this one was the worst. As the owner of the guesthouse always works together with the same driver, one should look for alternatives. Otherwise you will end up with 0.5 l of water for a tour of 7.5 hours and a breakfast for 6 people that is just enough for 3 (and no drinks included). But the most negative aspect was the driver being not interested in the beautiful places and views along the safari: He was just rushing through the national park, seemingly just focussed on finding leopards. Spotting leopards is great, but there are so many other beautiful animals and views worth stopping for: crocodile, bison, elephants, spotted deer, white storch, black storch, peacock, jungle fowl, beeeater, waran, mongoose, kormoran, ibis, hornbill, eagle etc. Moreover, the driver was not available for communication. He just closed all windows of the front cabin, hardly talked to us or listened to our shouts to stop for views and taking photos.

Fijne locatie bij Yala park in de buurt en een klein zwembad om af te koelen.

Cons:

Wilden de dag van vertrek een hele dure taxi regelen, en bij inchecken was er niemand aanwezig.

Pros:

Le personnel est très agréable et prend soin d'écouter nos demandes. Nous avions booker un sarafi a bon prix, le matin même j'étais malade je n'ai donc pas pu y aller. Ils se sont arrangés pour que je puisse le faire le lendemain.
Ils nous ont aussi trouvé une voiture pour aller a Mirissa à bon prix.
La chambre était bien, le menage également. La piscine est agréable.
Bon emplacement pas loin de restaurants.

Pros:

j'ai beaucoup aimé la table et chaise en extérieur devant la chambre avec la vue sur les rizières, c'est très agréable. J'ai été amusée par l'accueil et les propositions de circuits safari, j'ai accepté et c'était très qualitatif.

Cons:

Je n'ai pas testé le bar restaurant, c'était pas simple de comprendre les horaires d'ouverture, le lieu est en hauteur après une volée d'escalier, on ose pas trop monter du coup

Pros:

La dame de l’hôtel est adorable et ils sont tous très arrangeants et gentils. La nourriture est bonne.
Léo le chien est très gentil aussi.

Cons:

Seul problème avec le safari le guide très sympa mais il ne parlait que très peu anglais ce qui etait difficile pour communiquer
