Pros:

The desert was our highlight during our Morocco trip. We went beginning of June (40 degree Celsius and 23 at night). I‘d recommend 2-3 nights as you‘ll be able to experience a lot.
The camp was the perfect choice. The parking lot was in the shadow and felt very safe. I‘d recommend the transport via car as we did the camel ride for the sunset tour. We did a great tour with Hassan in the desert (visited a Berber camp, learned about how people live and survive in the Sahara, learned about the resources and so much more). We also did the quad tour and surfed with a board in the dunes. The sky full of stars was also great. The food was very good. I could tell you so much more but it‘s much better if you experience it yourself.

Cons:

Transparency on available tours and individual pricing could be better.

A truly life changing luxury stay in the Sahara Desert!
Pros:

This was a truly life changing part of our family trip! Our stay at Sahara Majestic was amazing in every way. Low key and still very upscale...SO perfect. Hassan was our main point of contact after meeting owner, Iddir on arrival in Merzouga. Iddir was gracious and welcoming. He arranged our trip to the camp by camel and made sure that our luggage was safely en route. After our 1 hour plus camel ride to the camp (!), we were met by Hassan. This gentleman is unbelievable!! He welcomed us with juice and fruit; we then had dinner and enjoyed music by the campfire. We got up per his advice at 4am to see the stars and milky way. The next day after a buffet breakfast the fun began! Hassan took us on a 4x4 jeep tour of the desert where we not only learned about the herbs growing there and their uses; saw the fossils; and drove through otherwise empty desert; but we also visited an authentic Berber village and met the family, had tea, fruit and sweets. The amount of culture that we learned about was historic and thrilling. Also Hassan then took us to the town of Merzouga where we had lunch in his sisters home: delicious Berber pizza, chicken tagine, and so much more. Later that same day, was the desert ATV drive hosted by Ahmed who was also charming and extremely knowledgeable. Really fun! That night, after a delicious dinner, and more music by the campfire was the kindest surprise - a Birthday Cake for our daughter! We had no idea and had said nothing about her birthday except that we were celebrating her graduation and birthday with this trip. They even had her name in icing on the cake. There were guests from about 5 countries around the fire and they all sang in their native languages. Such a heartwarming and incredibly thoughtful touch. The tent was beautiful with artful blankets, robes and slippers on each of our beds. Tasteful artwork was on the walls. Just gorgeous and every detail was attended to. I highly, highly recommend this camp! Thank you Hassan and Iddir!

Read this if you can’t decide which camp to book!
Pros:

After spending hours researching and dissecting reviews of other desert camps, I’m so happy we went for that one!

First of all, it is very well located at the bottom of the dunes, pretty much as close as you can get to it. We also had no surprise fees or scam you may hear in other camps.

We booked the 20€/person camel trek to get to camp (4x4 is free). It was 1h of proper exploration of the dunes that was truly memorable.

When we got to the camp, the staff welcomed us warmly with drinks and we then enjoyed the refreshing pool.

Later, the staff took us on a 4x4 to a high viewpoint in the dunes to see the sunset, truly unique!

We then got back and got a delicious dinner, followed by drumming, singing, dancing by the fire with tea.

We finally walked in the dunes at night to watch the stars with the guide.

In the morning, groups walked independently to the top of nearby dunes to watch sunrise and then got large breakfast.

All in all this experience was truly memorable in so many aspects. The staff were so warm and welcoming and interactions felt authentic, natural and everyone was enjoying themselves.

Cons:

We booked the 1h dual quad tour for 700MAD which felt a bit overpriced for the experience although it was a cool way to explore the dunes again.

Úžasné, od začiatku až po koniec. Súkromné zamknuté parkovanie bolo veľmi dôležité. Cestu do kempu máte buď v cene (4x4)

An incredible stay in the heart of the Sahara
Pros:

We were welcomed with a beautiful lemon and mint cool drink and sweets. It literally sits on the edge of the dunes which were stunning. We had viewed so many different camps but we were glad we chose this one. The pool was so nice when you’re in 40 degree heat. You can sand board yourself when you want, book various excursions with the staff when you arrive too. We took the ATV to camp which took 10 minutes and was the best way in the heat. Camels are slow, bumpy and takes roughly 1.5 hours in 40 degree heat! We booked the sunrise camel trip which is absolutely beautiful, an absolute must, even if you are getting up at 5am! They took us out stargazing, it was absolutely unreal, and they’re pros at taking pictures for you to capture the Milky Way. We also got taken up the dunes in the ATV for sunset which was also unreal. Try to arrive at 5pm to relax and experience everything. The staff were helpful and dinner was lovely, just remember you don’t get to order off a menu. Tajine is king! The rooms were lovely, although hot in the day they cooled in the evening. The singing and dancing was great fun. It’s an all inclusive camp and an experience we’ll never forget. Our host could talk 8 difference language which was brilliant for all travelling guests from around the world. Lovely jubbly he say!

Cons:

There isn’t much explanation of what happens at what time when you arrive, so you just relax and don’t follow time, it’s fine for us but some people like to have a clearer idea of timetables. I wouldn’t say it suitable for families, more for couples, but it depends on what type of family you are

Спасибо за отдых!
Pros:

Pros:

We were a family of four and had an absolutely amazing time at the camp.

We loved the camel trip to the camp.

The location of the camp is amazing and it feels very special.

We hadn't planned to go on the 4WD trip, but decided to go and this was an absolute highlight. I would absolutely recommend this if you are there. It is not a touristic trip, but off the beaten track and Hassan was really knowledgeable and a great guide. The meal at his sister's was one of the best we've had in Morocco.

We also did a quad trip which we enjoyed, but if you do only one thing, I would recommend the 4WD trip.

The accommodation is very nice, but remember that you are in the desert and there is no AC, but it was fine for us and there is a cold pool to refresh yourself.

The breakfast was great and we loved the "Berber whiskey".

The drumming performance in the evenings were also great.

An absolute highlight was getting up at 4am to see the stars and milky way - we even woke up the kids to go and see these.

We had an unforgettable stay and really loved our time here.
