Just the vibe,away from the hustle and bustle of the city,felt like we were in another country gave us a chance to really wind down and relax,meals were great,accommodation was decent and the people were friendly and welcoming definitely have to book again and stay abit longer
Not much,it is an old town so don't expect 5star accommodation but met our needs just fine if I could pin point one thing it was probably the seagulls chasing us for our sandwiches during the day😂😂
Quant, beautiful surroundings plenty of food options.
What I really enjoyed is the simplicity of checking in, friendly staff and the locals make the stay a very memorable experience

I’ll be returning to far north for another adventure
No fuss. Historic hotel right on the water in quaint, historic Mangonui. Stunning views of the harbour from the balcony. Expected the eccentricities of a building of this age, and while the room did not have a private ensuite, it was right across the hall. The rooms were clean, the furniture and furnishings adequate, the linen clean and the tv with Netflix.
Location and the fact that was an old historical building.
The room… smelled terrible of fish and chip shop, cleaning was poor, wooden doors to the outside area didn’t had a lock, the only acceptable thing was the shared bathroom.

Good value. Comfortable bed. Was pleased to find a guest kitchen so we could make a simple breakfast for ourselves.
Would have like a guest lounge or even just a small seating area so we could have a cuppa or breakfast without one person having to sit on the bed.

Confustion over pricing issue as wrong room was allocated to what was issued from the site but they did accept what was allocated with a phone call to the manager
The beds were so comfy.
The shower head was directed at the wall and it was difficult to alter the water temperature.
We didn't get breakfast, and the restaurant was closed last night, so we walked down the road to find another. The linen was very good. And we were thankful for the electric blanket, that we found an extension cord in cupboard as electric plug was across the room.
No heating in the rooms. Bathroom freezing cold, shower pathetic. We had to upgrade the single bedroom which was very inadequate. Curtains and blinds very dilapidated and carpet needs cleaning. Big stains in the upgraded room we paid $160 for.
The view and the beds are comfy.
No heat pump or heater for winter especially are not ideal..

Disappointed room booked via booking.com cost a further $90 on arrival, I understood prices at booking are held, so settled on lesser room for same money, was actually good and will select for next visit.

I didn’t like much. It is very tired. Yes the room was clean but that about all it had going for it. I would not go back
