I stopped into three different hotels in a process that was too familiar: Trying to communicate to the Latin Americans employees what constitutes "good Internet." Most had fast download (200-300 mb/s) but the upload was shaky. Probably infrastructure for delivering content to smart TVs, but not for video conferencing. I walked all over town. I met some nice people. I looked at some nice hotels, but a pity that it didn't work. I finally raised my budget and landed at Hotel Paraiso Chiclayo. It was much better--a studio apt for myself, but still the Internet wasn't great--around 120 mb/s but sometimes dipping down to 10 mb/s. It's an infrastructure issue in Chiclayo. It sufficed.
Excellent staff. Excellent rooms. Firm mattresses. Good breakfast.
The bar was sadly not open while I was there.

Hotel très bien situé à 5 minutes de la Plaza de Armas, dans une zone avec de nombreux commerces et restaurants. Chambre propre, confortable et calme, avec climatisation. Le petit déjeuner de type buffet est copieux et varié.
Quand on allume la clim, il y a une odeur à humidité dans la chambre. Chambre difficile à aérer (petite fenêtre donnant sur une cour sans courant d'air)

Televisor no es SmarTV, para un hotel con sus características, deja mucho que desear que sus televisores sean antiguos y solo con televisión por cable.
La ubicación es buena y mala a la vez, buena porque está bastante cerca del parque principal, pero mala ya que al tener comercios a los costados y alrededores la bulla de estos se oye hasta altas horas de la noche.
Esta vez si hubo leche entera en el desayuno y estuve muy agradable.
El colchón un poco duro para mi ya que tengo hernias en la columna

Kayla at the front desk was very helpful. Friendly and courteous. Breakfast was excellent and the kitchen staff is also very nice. Overall, very good stay at a very good location and at a great price
