Lala lodge Pemba Zanzibar

Prachtige locatie, meteen aan zee tussen de palmbomen en mooi uitzicht over de baai en de haven.

We had an amazing and truly unique stay at this lodge in Pemba. While the rooms are very basic, the warmth and incredible hospitality completely make up for it. The lodge is located right on the ocean, and there is a gorgeous wooden second floor where you can sit, relax, and take in the magical views.

The owner is a charming South African who truly hosts from the bottom of his heart and goes above and beyond for his guests. We were there for our daughter Tamari’s birthday, and he woke up extra early just to make her pancakes and even bought her donuts! It was such a special and touching gesture that made her day.

He also prepares dinner and invites guests to join for a very reasonable price. The best part is that all the guests eat together, which creates a lovely bonding experience. We enjoyed it so much! I can honestly say it was the most delicious meal I’ve had in Africa so far—he made an amazing chicken curry with rice, a fresh salad, and a lovely dessert.

He really cares about everyone's experience and helps organize great activities, like taking guests snorkeling or to see the local fruit bats, and he even gave us a ride to the ferry.

If you are looking for a place with heart, soul, and a host who genuinely cares about your experience, this is exactly the place to be. Highly recommended!

Quite a good place to visit in Pemba. With locals around you will enjoy the ambience.

Everything was exactly as described and reached our expectations. It's a friendly place where you will have diner with other guests and Dennis the owner, who is also very welcoming. He also helps organize activities around the island, only work with locals and cook very good fish from the fish market 50m from the lodge!

És un dels pocs allotjaments econòmics de l’illa, molt a prop del ferry i davant del mar.
S’hi ofereix sopar (no hi ha oferta de restauració a prop) que era bo. També s’hi ofereixen tours per l’illa.
El personal és flexible i amable.
