The hotel is clean, comfortable, and located in a beautiful setting right next to a waterfall. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

We had a very pleasant experience overall. The only issue was our late arrival. The reception was already closed, and we had to wait outside for about an hour and a half before we were able to get assistance. We later discovered that the hotel had sent arrival instructions by SMS, but unfortunately my phone number did not work in Norway, so I never received the message. It would be much more helpful if these instructions were also sent by email for international guests.

There was also no electric vehicle charging station available, even though it was mentioned in the listing. However, the receptionist informed us that one is expected to be installed soon.

Overall, it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this hotel. Just make sure to arrive before reception closes, or contact the hotel in advance if you expect to arrive late.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Sehr schöne Lage direkt am Videfossen, Bergwelt und toller Ausblick ins Tal. Abendessen und Frühstück sehr lecker.

Pros:

Buitengewone locatie. Nog nooit zo'n mooie "room with a view" gehad. Werkelijk schitterend.
Uiterst vriendelijk personeel. Eigenaresse gaf uitgebreide informatie over het hotel aan de hand van foto's van zowel vroeger als nu. Heel interessant.
Het diner was prima verzorgd en het ontbijt zeer uitgebreid.
Dikke plus.

Cons:

Het geen enkel negatief effect op ons verblijf, maar je ziet dat er alles aan gedaan wordt om het gebouw te moderniseren.

Middagsbuffé med varmretter som ikke var varme. Litt dårlig utvalg av retter,og lasagne smakte rart. For høy pris.

Oppholdet var ikke som forventet.
Pros:

Utsikten. Middagen var god med godt utvalg, likte at det var vegetarmulighet.

Cons:

Prisen for et familierom var ekstrem for to stålkøyesenger. Vi fikk følelsen av å komme inn på en militærkaserne. Gulvet på rommet var skittent og fullt i blant annet snegler og stein. Det var hår oppetter veggene på badet. Det luktet ikke godt på rommet heller. Frokosten hadde lite og dårlig utvalg. Brødskivene var deigete. Middag/frokost hadde ikke allergimerking, nokke som er vesentlig for oss med melk/nøtteallergi!
