Fabulous hotel on NC500
Pros:

The Mey Hotel is an exceptional hotel perfectly located for the NC500 road trip, the Castle Mey and Orkney Ferries. We had dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous, the breakfast was just as good. The rooms are gorgeously decorated. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and felt right at home. We would definitely recommend and would stay there again without hesitation.

Ein sehr schönes, kleines Hotel für einen Kurzaufenthalt.
Pros:

Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich. Wir haben uns für die eine Nacht dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer waren mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Es gab ausreichend Heizmöglichkeiten inkl. einer Wärmflasche. Die wir allerdings nicht gebraucht haben.
Es gab einen großen Parkplatz und zwei Lademöglichkeit für Elektroautos.

Basic hotel voor overnachting.
Pros:

De grote van de kamer was prima, jammer van het kleine bed en het matras. Badkamer prima. Wel een lage en kleine wastafel. Ontbijtkeuze moet je van te voren doorgeven en ook het tijdstip van ontbijten. Je kan kiezen uit verschillende opties. Voor 1 nachtje was het prima, in verhouding wel duur, maar dat komt door het weinige aanbod in de regio.

Cons:

Het was een smal tweepersoons bed. Het matras was niet fijn, ik voelde de springveren.

Great spot, such potential, staff overbearing.
Pros:

We had a lovely room, well equipped and comfortable. The lounge area was well- furnished with photo books, and interesting pictures. The food was delicious, and well presented, with an emphasis on locally sourced.

Cons:

We found the emphasis on details like how to unlock a door, ordering our breakfast at reception on arrival, and the inflexibility over breakfast timings, to be inappropriate and rather overbearing. Previous reviews mention similar. Shame, as there was all the potential to relax and enjoy.

Just Superb
Pros:

Just superb!! Emma and Euan are terrific hosts - welcoming, friendly, warm and engaging. They have transformed this hotel and the rooms are clean, modern, comfortable, to a high specification and away from the road. The location is another positive - a couple of minutes from the Castle of Mey and 10 mins from the ferry to Orkney. Highly recommended.

L'hôtel est assez quelconque vue de l'extérieur mais tout change quand on entre. On découvre une décoration typiquement écossaise avec. des propriétaires très attentifs.
