The room was a good size and was very comfortable. The bathroom was great as it had a large walk-in shower. There were also two easy chairs and a small table, which were very useful.
The location was lovely. The village was pretty and very peaceful.
The room got very hot during the day and there was little airflow, even with the window open. It was fairly extreme weather though.
The continental breakfast was a little disappointing. The selection of cereals were very limited and sugary. There was no healthy option like branflakes or porridge.
This is a pleasant pub in a delightful village location. The room was quiet and easy to access. The main building restaurant and bar was air-conditioned in a very hot spell of weather.
A warmer and more enthusiastic welcome would have been nice after a very long and tiring journey. The room had a fan which circulated the tropical air from the exterior, but being in the full glare of the sun for most of the day, some more effective means to cool the room in such high temperatures was really necessary to enable one to sleep.

Stayed for one night at the P&P on our way to Northumberland. Located in the beautiful village of Husthwaite, the accommodation is very comfortable. Staff are lovely and food is excellent.

Lovely room and bar areas.quiet location. Food was really good. Friendly staff. Room was refreshed daily. Lovely toiletries and tea and coffee facilities. Popular bar eating areas.
Some issues with flies in both the room and the eating areas which was a shame.
Apparently we were placed in a an accessible room, which had a wet room and rainfall shower but no normal shower hose and head unfortunately.
Location, restaurant. Although we didn’t eat an evening meal my sister and family did and really enjoyed it. Breakfast was very good.
Beds were firm and rooms quite small and quiet basic . Light came through the curtains early so we woke. Smell of the restaurant was in room corridors and there was a fly problem in whole hotel and bedrooms when we stayed. Staff were very apologetic.
