Pros:

Schönes undzentral gelegenes Hotel, saubere Zimmer, gutes Frühstücksangebot.

Cons:

Im Zimmer war es trotz Ventilator sehr, sehr heiss. Auch durch die Fenster kam kaum Abkühlung. Ich konnte darum nicht gut schlafen.
War aber diese Tage auch sehr heiss draussen.

Charmant, tolle Lage, leider nicht ganz leise
Pros:

Tolle, charmante und geschmackvolle Unterkunft in optimaler Lage. Feines Frühstück mit lokalen Produkten und sehr gutem Brot (darauf lege ich viel Wert)

Cons:

Mein Zimmer ging auf den Innenhof. Der Restaurantbetrieb bzw das abschliessende Aufröumen ist mit viel Geklapper verbunden. Gerade bei offenem Fenster störend. Vor 11:30 Uhr ist also nicht wirklich Nachtruhe . Das trübt den Aufenthalt.

An excellent Basel hotel with historic character.
Pros:

This is a splendid hotel with an old world charm. As with many cities in Switzerland, the historic centre is on a number of levels, and the hotel provides two exits, one via a lift takes you close to the main shopping area, the other is close to one of the museums. There were many fascinating pictures showing the history of the hotel and I wish I had had more time to enjoy these (I was only there for one night).

Cons:

Because it was an official holiday, the hotel restaurant was closed. This was a bit frustrating because I assumed I would be able to eat there. However, all worked out well, and I enjoyed a meal overlooking the Cathedral, and enjoying the wonderful weather.

Ideal für einen Stadtbesuch in Basel
Pros:

Perfekte Lage im Zentrum von Basel, trotzdem ruhig. Schöne erhöhte Lage auf Hügel. Sehr freundliches / flexibles Personal. Schöne und sehr saubere Zimmer. Gutes Frühstück. Sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir werden auf jeden Fall bei zukünftigen Basel-Besuchen wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war nicht übermässig gross. Dies ist aber gegeben durch das historische Gebäude. Absolut genügend für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt.
