Das Hotel hat einen ganz besonderen Genius Loci. Es ist geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Alles wirkt ein wenig wie aus einem Märchen und unterstreicht auf wunderschöne Weise die einzigartige Atmosphäre der Stadt.

Das WC hatte Putzmittelrückstände.
Hotel Au Violon is een oud klooster en dat betekent vaak enige soberheid. Au Violon is betrekkelijk sober, maar voor een kort verblijf in Basel ontbreekt het je aan niets. De kamer is groot genoeg en schoon, de badkamer sober (de douche zou wel een upgrade verdienen), het ontbijt niet heel uitgebreid maar lekker. Het is er rustig, ook al ligt het midden in de stad. Parkeren is simpel in een parkeergarage op ongeveer 300 meter en niet uitgesproken duur.
Het verblijf heeft geheel aan onze verwachtingen voldaan.
De douche kan wel worden verbeterd, maar een ramp was het zeker niet.
Le petit déjeuner se déroulait dans un endroit typique et charmant .
en plus d'un buffet très bien achalandé et varié, la possibilité de commander certaines choses à la carte .
L'endroit parfait pour se rendre à pied dans la vieille ville .

lieu très original puisque la chambre correspond à deux anciennes cellules réunies... C'était au préalable une prison. Les murs sont très très épais, mais la chambre est lumineuse et confortable. Très propre, un espace extérieur de la chambre pour le café, thé ou voir la télévision. En plein centre ville dans un bâtiment historique et préservé.
Excellent et copieux petit déjeuner dans une grande salle. Beau jardin avec fontaine et restaurant de l'hôtel. Ascenseur privé pour descendre en ville car on est en hauteur. Excellent accueil .
en raison de la canicule, le ventilateur était insuffisant, mais je reconnais qu'il doit être impossible de percer les murs pour installer l'air conditionné. Le wi-fi est lent pour cette raison aussi.
