Great family hotel
Pros:

All the staff were great, especially Anne, Lynn, Ivy, Nam. Lynn went out of her way to help with tours and trains, big thanks to her.

Cons:

Location was perfect, and quiet.

Super zentral, aber ruhig mit außergewöhnlich freundlichem Personal
Pros:

Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter im Hotel. Sie waren jederzeit ansprechbar und haben Tipps gegeben, was man erleben kann. Weiterhin wird auch ein Transfer vom Flughafen für 18$ angeboten.
Die Lage der Unterkunft ist ein Traum - mitten in der Altstadt, aber in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, somit kann man nachts super schlafen.
Das Bett war gemütlich und das Zimmer sauber - der Zimmerservice gründlich und es gab täglich frische Handtücher.

Cons:

Der Balkon ist nicht wirklich groß in Balkon, eher ein Austritt mit einer Breite von vielleicht 20-30cm. Das störte uns aber nicht, da wir bei der großen Hitze eh die Fenster geschlossen gelassen haben und die Klimaanlage genutzt haben.

Pros:

Lots of restaurant choices, spas and souvenir stores all around. It’s also close to the temples and parks. It’s off-season for tourists when we went to Hanoi, so room rates had been discounted. Our room is always clean and the hotel, in general, is clean. There’s a small room with gym eqpt too that’s free to use. Love the way the staff treated us. They responded fast to our minor concern. Lin and Emma are great hosts.

Cons:

It’s hard to locate at first because there are so many Hanoi Silk hotels in the old quarter. When booking a taxi, the complete address should be typed in instead of the hotel name. We didn’t do this so we ended up in a diffent hotel and had to get another cab.

BEWARE!
Cons:

The room offered on arrival at the hotel was not the same as I booked. In the description of the room I booked it said there was a sofa, when I inspected the room before checking, there was no sofa and the cleanliness and feeling of the room was very weak. Also the photo of the reception area does not match that shown on booking.com. When we complained to the receptionist, and told her we will not stay at the hotel she offered a room at their sister hotel. We refused as I've learnt in life if someone was not truthful one time they will not be truthful the second time. Then my Vietnamese wife spoke with the manager who told her we can cancel the booking and she will refund the money paid. Today I received my card statement and I was charged by the hotel for 3 nights which I did not stay due to their crafty tactics. BEWARE!
