Totally overpriced and worn out.

Nothing special.

Cons:

Noisy, I hear everything from the corridor, from above. The door moves when somebody else close their door. Soundproofing zero. Old shitty TV and coffee machine. I couldnt make fully dark. That was the most expensive and the worst hotel in Iceland.

Beautiful updated property with friendly staff
Pros:

Beautiful views from the restaurant and the room. Comfortable beds. Room setup had extra sink and vanity which was convenient. Nice restaurant and friendly staff

Cons:

When we arrived there was a make up smear on one pillowcase, but the staff changed it immediately and offered a discount in the hotel restaurant/ bar for the inconvenience

Stunning view, spacious rooms and welcoming staff
Pros:

Stunning view from the rooms both on the mountain side and glacier side.
Staff was very welcoming at the reception, bar and restaurant. Really make you feel comfortable.
Room and bathroom are spacious and bright.

Cons:

Maybe would be nice to have bigger cups for tea/coffee at the breakfast. Current cups are way too small. Enough only for two sips.
But this is not a disadvantage, just a point to consider. For the rest hotel is great!

Pros:

we had a decent one-night stay, and barely something to complain about - spacious rooms, great staff and good food. though, the prices were even for Icelandic standards very high

Cons:

it could certainly be a bit cleaner (a lot of dust everywhere and the shower leaked where it shouldn’t) but else everything was fine

Deludente
Pros:

La posizione , come accade per circa il 90 % degl' hotel in Islanda

Cons:

La struttura era un vecchia con limiti di manutenzione.
La stanza (106) è stata deludente, con arredo vecchio e organizzata approssimativamente .
Durante la doccia si è allargata mezza stanza . Dai mobili fronte bagno che erano marci nella zona bassa , si intuisce che il problema è ricorrente e quindi non gestito.
Ho fatti notare il problema alla reception ed hanno mostrato sfacciatamente stupore. Mi sono fatto dare degli asciugamani, vista che tarda ora (non avrei cambiato stanza , partendo la mattina successiva) .
La cena consumata è stata di bassa qualità (alcuni piatti del listino non erano disponibili).
La colazione è stata di bassa qualità .
Al check out non è stato fatto alcun cenno al disagio della sera precedente... Considerando l' importanza della catena fosshotel in Islanda avrebbero dovuto fare un gesto (un rimborso parziale , un piccolo presente ...).
Vi prego di non rispondere con le consure scuse sterili (sistemate l hotel ed i problemi) e con la frase inutile : "ci auguriamo di non aver rovinato il vostro soggiorno nella splendida Islanda"
