All we expected - best thing was the staff - first rate!
Pros:

Excellent choices, timing and quality.

Main problem is location on a very busy junction and ‘idiot’ drivers.

Can’t see how you could improve things.

Cons:

Stairs need attention. Problems with security opening at top of door, bannister not good enough, cosmetically and resulting lack of trust.

Pros:

It was situated in a lovely little village, near a church so you can the bells chime on a Sunday the Inn was cozy and welcoming and even dog friendly, lovely courtyard with little pond and fountain with fish the staff were helpful, welcoming, polite, lovely, the food was exceptional, fresh, cooked to order, piping hot, and delicious, lovely candle and glass with fresh flower on every table, the decor was warm cozy olde worlde proper country pub. The bed was super comfortable, and we both slept really well, shame I couldn't fit it in my case! The bathroom was clean, bright and had a heated towel rail, towels provided, hand soap, and shower gel in the shower pod, little shower head and rainfall head, the room had ample room, with desk, refreshments on a tea tray, hair dryer in the drawer and a fan on a shelf in the wardrobe, a few coat hangers provided. Plenty of lamps and lighting, no "big" light as such but this made the room cozy, still had a desk lamp and a bright light that surrounded the headboard.

Cons:

The price of soft drinks were a little expensive I thought, didn't purchase beers or spirits.
Shower drain I think was clogged very slow flowing, and when you were in the shower the water kept spraying out onto the bathroom floor, soaking the bath mat, but apart from that no faults.

Cons:

The attitude of the lady serving the breakfast on the Thursday morning. No good morning, unfriendly lady. Hard fried eggs with the English breakfast. Chose not tohave breakfast there the following day
