Shame the breakfast wasnt included in the cost of the room. £11.50 for a breakfast is a bit steep
Wonderful staff and ambiance.
It was very warm and there was no air conditioning.
The place has a good ambience; the food and staff were excellent and everything was acceptably clean - though many of the carpets are grubby, despite regular cleaning,
Our room (14) was badly designed with the bed unnecessarily close to one wall, making getting in and out awkward, There was a similar problem with the location of the washbasin, which made use of the toilet difficult, The room was not properly serviced and breakfast on our second day (1 x porridge and 1 x eggs Benedict) took over 1/2 hour to appear (with only 6 other people in the restaurant), making us late for an appointment.
Excellent location, lovely staff, great food and deinks
The bathroom could have been a little bit cleaner , the floor tiles were a bit grubby if I am being picky and one of the shower wall tiles was cracked, the shower head needs a descale but worked ok
Not enough staff.
I liked the price, I liked the parking, I liked the staff, I liked the location, I liked the history of the place, I liked the relaxed atmosphere, I liked the very comfortable bed and I loved I couldn't hear anything from the pub downstairs (I was in room no8)
I couldn't open the window fully, but this is the case in a lot of hotels. A fan in the room would have been great.
The staff are all good, the breakfast team are exceptionally helpful. Warm and powerful showers, plenty of parking, good food, a very nice restaurant.
Some rooms need serious repair, TRV missing in my bathroom so no warm towels, as an example. The curtains don’t stop the light, which stops me getting a good nights sleep. I personally don’t like the loud music in the bar and restaurant. It just doesn’t fit. On Monday night after the quizz it was left off for a while and the venue excelled and being peaceful
Fantastic room. Friendly staff. Great menu and food.
Superb place
Location food and staff
Bathroom floor not clean and shower felt like it was rotten floor underneath tray
