It was okay for a one night stay. If it's very crowded you might have a hard time getting close to the top to park your car, and end up walking a lot which is what happened to us. Breakfast was great.

Cons:

The rooms need some renovations. There are also a lot of insects and spiders around, but that's not a surprise since it's nature all around.

Worth staying to enjoy the canyon
Pros:

Very nice place, even special. We vere lucky to find a place to park the car in the nearest to the hotel parking lot. Beautiful surroundings, good food in the restaurant.

Cons:

Gets very busy during weekends but that's understandable.

Hotel en un entorno maravilloso
Pros:

La Ubicación y las vistas son muy bonitas. Nos guardaron las maletas mientras fuímos a hacer un kayac. Llegamos antes de tiempo para el check in y nos prepararon igualmente la habitación.

Cons:

Se salía toda el agua de la ducha y el lavabo quedaba inundado. Los precios del restaurante son elevados.

Kamer was wat gedateerd, maar de prachtige omgeving in de Matka kloof vergoed heel erg veel.
Het restaurant is wat prijzig, maar wel goed. Het ontbijt was uitstekend.
De bediening was erg vriendelijk.

Amazing location, provided you know what the parking situation is.
Pros:

Amazing location, what a view! Staff very helpful and our room was huge. Great restaurant and first class breakfast.

Cons:

Parking - make sure you know this before going. There are two car parks, the ‘smaller’ car park closer to the hotel (approx 300m walk) and a ‘larger’ car park further down the hill. The road up from larger to smaller is narrow, full of pedestrians and parked cars. There is no guarantee you can park at the smaller car park until the evening, where the outside, non-hotel tourists clear out. There are no guaranteed parking spaces and you’re out for yourself! I would suggest dropping off any luggage/partners/kids etc at the smaller car park and then parking the car at the larger one and walking back but there’s also no guarantee you can turn around. However, once you’ve sorted logistics this is easily one of the most unique stays I’ve ever had.

Pros:

Beautiful place for a hotel. Nice small rooms with cabin feeling. We got a comlimentary bottle of wine on arrival and a good breakfast was included. Highly recomend this hotel.

Cons:

The toilet seat was a bit loose and we had to be extra careful with it.
