My host waited up for me as I arrived at 11.30pm from a delayed flight at nearby Cardiff airport.
I walked to the hotel as its conveniently located to the airport.
My host then offered to give me a lift to my business meeting the next morning and totally refused any payment!

Very attentive, respectful, helpful and accommodating folks. Both Jeff and Sharon even made time from their busy schedules to take me to the Caerphilly Castle, Cardiff airport and Barry train station. Their breakfast and dinners were freshly made and super delicious 😋.
The water in the shower was too hot and the handle was not working properly to cool it down.
There was plenty of parking outside. Gerald came out to help with my luggage. He gave me lots of great advice on local restaurants in the area. The room was clean and had a blackout blind. There was a clean walk-in shower. I slept very well.
There was a bit of road traffic noise. I was so tired that I soon got to sleep.

My room was very cold when we first got there, but warmed up a treat later on. I’m not keen on rain head showers either as I’m forced to contort my body into weird shapes to save wetting my hair!
Great stay at Vale Park Hotel! What really made the difference was the staff and the owner Sharon ! Super friendly, welcoming, and made us feel at home right away. The home-cooked food was amazing and honestly one of the highlights of our stay. Warm atmosphere, great people, and a place that feels personal rather than just a hotel. Would definitely come back.
