Simpatia da dona Zarela, localização e pequeno almoço
I stayed at La Casa de Zarela for five nights and felt genuinely comfortable throughout. The room was cleaned every day, cozy and enough space for arranging my stuff. The WiFi was super fast so I could even work when I needed to. I especially loved the common areas: relaxed outdoor sitting spots where you can unwind after an exhausting day of hiking.
The true standout is Zarela herself. She is a warm and attentive host who helped me plan all of my tours and hikes with patience and local expertise — always available when you needed her. She also offers flexible breakfast solutions, when you start your hike very early.
The Thai restaurant on-site is a pleasant surprise, the Pad Thai is delicious and not something you’d expect to find in Huaraz. What’s also worth mentioning is that they are very accommodating when it comes to dietary needs, whether you have food intolerances or follow a vegetarian diet, you’ll be well taken care of here.
If you’re spending time in Huaraz, La Casa de Zarela is a great choice and I totally recommend it.
The hotel was clean and nice, the staff was friendly and very helpful getting a taxi to the airport. Nice showers after a long hike, good coffee or tea in the morning even if the breakfast wasn't available yet.
The doors were very thin and in the morning you could hear loudly other people getting ready. Also we had a friend stop by that had hiked with us and it was an extra 30 soles to have him take a shower in our room before he took a bus to Lima.

Chuveiro as vezes faltava água a noite, banheiro muito pequeno, espaço para o banho era minúsculo, uma pessoa com mais de 1,80 teria dificuldade de tomar banho dentro do espaço reservado.

Zarela is the most lovely host! She helped us with everything (regarding transport, luggage storage, prepared early breakfast if we left early for trekking … ) and made us feel like home! Breakfast is great and the accommodation in general is very lovely.
The hospitality, the flexibililty and the help we got to arrange trips. Just a very comfortable place to stay on walking distance from the center.

Lovely stay in La Casa de Zarela - where Zarela will host you with all her experience from travelling around the world (she knows what you need as a traveler) and gives you a feeling of coming home because of her heartful behaviour.
Our experience in the shoulder season:
+Early check-in after arriving with night bus.
+Organizing a lot of the tours by contacting the agency and a taxi driver directly by her via the phone.
+Giving recommendations for activities (daily or multiple days).
+Spontaneous one night longer - we were in shoulder season but she was very flexible concerning our stay.
++Lovely talks with her in the evening with a delicious cup of tea.
Sadly, she was renovating the kitchen, so we couldn't try the Thai food.
Zarela es extraordinaria siempre volvería
Helpful and kind staff. The room was perfect size and quiet. Breakfast was yummy and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had breakfast. Our room was very clean as well as the rest of the property.

La atención de Zarela fue excelente. Durante toda la estadía se mostró muy atenta y siempre tuvo el detalle de llenarnos el termo con agua caliente para el frío.
La ubicación muy buena, las habitaciones espaciosas, contaban con agua caliente. El personal muy amable, definitivamente volvería a hospedarme.

Zarela foi extremamente solícita e simpática durante toda a estadia. A casa é exatamente como no anúncio, limpa, confortável e bem cuidada. Um grande diferencial foi o cuidado com o café da manhã, que ela deixava preparado independentemente do horário em que sairíamos para os passeios.
Além disso, sempre nos deu ótimas dicas sobre a região, o que fez toda a diferença na experiência. Eles também oferecem serviço de lavanderia, o que é muito prático.
A localização é muito boa, com restaurantes próximos e a Plaza de Armas a cerca de 10 minutos a pé, onde há ainda mais opções. Para quem preferir, o Uber funciona muito bem na região.
Recomendo muito a estadia!
La persona encargada de la recepción siempre fue muy amable y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitaramos, como por ejemplo, dejar el equipaje mientras estábamos en el nevado.
El desayuno también cumplió nuestras expectativas, porque pensamos que a pesar del horario de nuestra salida (3am), no iba a haber, nos dejaron un buen desayuno para llevar.

Foi tudo perfeito! A hospedagem é muito aconchegante e limpa, com água bem quente nos banhos, e a Zarela é uma pessoa excepcional que nos ajudou em tudo, dando muitas dicas sobre os passeios e qualquer coisa que precisávamos. Café da manhã super gostoso e fresquinho. Recomendo 100%!
