After a busy day around Longleat this was the quiet retreat that was needed .
Pros:

Friendly, clean, quiet and lovely food.
The locals in the pub were an absolute hoot and the pub has a bar billiard table.
There’s a wonderful outside area with views over the valley.

Cons:

There’s absolutely nothing not to like, I highly recommend this gem.

Pros:

We had an amazing stay at the old red lion. We were visiting Batts Farm for a wedding and the location was perfect. Beautiful grounds, cute free roaming ducks wondering about. Quaint and cosy little bar downstairs serving great pints. Ann and Tom couldn't do enough for us, they were so friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was delicious more than adequate. Very accommodating when we had extras round for brekky at the last minute,

The bedside light pull switch didn’t work. However the fan in the bedroom was really appreciated in the heatwave.
