​Location: 10/10. An easy walk to the Chinese Fishing Nets, Princess Street, and Burger Street. The Kathakali dance center (the green-face dance) is right around the corner. The souvenir shop next door (the shop) is also great—no pushy sales, just nice things.

​Facilities: 10/10. The room was super big and comfy, and the bed was great for a good night's sleep. Our room overlooked the garden and restaurant, and noise was never a problem. Having a pool was a nice bonus, though it sits right in front of the dining area, so you feel a bit on display.

​Service: 10/10. Staff were consistently good. We ate dinner at the restaurant a few times, and they have options like pasta if you are traveling with kids.

​Tip: I really enjoyed the cooking class. Choose local vegetarian dishes if you want to learn step-by-step with the chefs how to make authentic Kerala food. A great experience if you like cooking.

Cons:

The pool lacks privacy since it is right in front of the restaurant table area. Nevertheless; having a pool it is a great plus.

Pros:

I had a very pleasant stay at Abad Dutch Bungalow in Fort Kochi. The property has a lot of old-world charm and fits perfectly with the historic atmosphere of the neighborhood. The location is excellent - quiet and relaxing, while still being within easy reach of Fort Kochi’s main attractions, cafés, restaurants, and waterfront.
The rooms and common areas looked very vintage and historical, but also were comfortable and well maintained, and the overall ambience made the stay feel much more distinctive than a typical hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay, which made the experience even better!!
A great option if you’re visiting Fort Kochi and want somewhere peaceful, charming, and conveniently located. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel was good. Good location. Only a short walk to shops. Restaurants close by. Beach only one block away. The breakfast was good and the staff were excellent.
