Beautiful stay in the heart of the Yorkshire moors
Pros:

Location was great, scenery fantastic, very authentic British pub that my French friends adored. Breakfast was good and we had a delicious and reasonably priced evening meal. Definitely recommend

As a comfortable place to hang one's hat while visiting the area, the Cow and Calf has it all.
Pros:

Staff were helpful, food and drink satisfying (English breakfast, Sunday roast, beer/ale selection), scenery uplifting (walking trails, views from Cow and Calf rock formations). It is even dog friendly for pub visitors!
Quick, easy access to charming and historic Ilkley town by car/taxi/Uber.
A great place to stay and return to after days exploring nature sites and other nearby attractions. It was a wonderful experience for a first-time traveler to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales!

Cons:

There is no lift to get bags up and downstairs, but on the upside, there was always someone kind who offered to help when needed.

Pros:

Location, breakfast was beautiful and the room was lovely.

Cons:

The only complaint would be the shower, it is very small, could do to be the full wall to give more space rather than a semi circle.

Disappointing. In Ilkley to deal with a family bereavement and wanted a lovely retreat. It wasn’t. bereavement and wante
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

Given an attic room. Little light. Tiny high window so no view. Apparently the hotel wasn’t busy so why give out the less desirable rooms? Drainage issues on two nights also. Although that was dealt with satisfactorily.

Pros:

The views from the hotel- it is on Ilkley Moor at the top of the road up to the Cow and Calf rocks. It would be difficult to access without your own transport. The restaurant looked good but we didn't eat there in the evening. The breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

There was an issue with the radiator in our room which kept making gurgling noises. We reported it to the manager who attempted to sort out the problem but it started again in the middle of the night and continued into the morning. We reported it again to the other manager on duty the next morning.
