Unfortunately, we were not able to experience the food, as the place had just been taken over by new owners, so they were not serving food as the kitchen was being cleaned. However, the new owners were very accommodating and gave us several options on where to eat locally. The bar staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and we spent two lovely evenings in the bar area. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We travelled with our small dog who was also well looked after.
The location was nice
The room and bathroom were dirty.
The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, downstairs smelt of mould, no food available.

Lovely location and attractive looking upon arrival.
The room and shared bathroom were dirty. Cobwebs and dust everywhere the bedside lamps were stained and bedding didnt smell very clean. The mattress was also extremely uncomfortable. The place is badly in need of a makeover. I think in future I would rather pay a little bit more to stay somewhere nicer. The price is lower than Scarborough town centre but I guess you get what you pay for. Wouldn't recommend.
The girl on the bar she was lovely and told us about the bus from the concert back to the hotel where it would be waiting and it saved us some money
The fact that the kitchen wasn’t open when we arrived as we hadn’t ate so that was disappointing and there is literally nothing around where you could go for food
Pub is lovely. Location in good
No shower in room but communal shower down the corridor. Very basic room .
Good stay, the room was good. Good closet space.
Some minor repairs needed but overall the room was ok.
Shared bathroom was a little concerning as a female but as there are few rooms it wasn't so bad.
Bathroom was along landing but clean and shower was very good and very clean.
Room could have been a little more updated and modern but for the price, a good stay.
Value for money, parking, close to Scarborough
Not en-suite. Basic. Rooms very hot and radiator was on sometimes. No staff around in morning when needed to ask.
Didn't use the accommodation for food so cannot rate that. Comfortable bedroom and quiet location.
The shared toilet/ bathroom was a little dirty but probably only to be expected from shared facilities.
Nothing !
Reception area for accomodation smelt old & dusty, room very basic & not too clean , supposed to be en suite , not so pub looked very careworn & not too clean , rubbish outside not tidied up I could go on & on !, if I'd paid £40 for this I'd think I'd been robbed , if this is what marstons pubs aspire to I think they need to take a serious look at themselves !
