A good character hotel that has some love in it.
Pros:

It's a good character hotel. It's old, but you can see they care and they do those little extra things that make it nice. The pub and dining area feels clean and welcoming for a person on their own. There's a nice communal lounge room upstairs. The beds are comfy and clean. Even though it has shared bathrooms, as a girl I pretty well had the girl's bathroom to myself anyway.

Cons:

A few minor things to improve. Would be good to have hooks to hang your towel in the room. The light from the bathrooms shone through my door which was a little annoying for sleeping - would be good to have a curtain or blackout screen there.

I enjoyed my stay and would certainly would stay there again.
Pros:

The continental breakfast was very good…I really liked that it was available for 24 hours a day.
The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful.
The food in the restaurant was fabulous. Fourteen of us ate there for two nights and everyone’s meals were fantastic.

Cons:

The only thing I would have liked in my room was a chair. There is a communal lounge area to sit in, but later in the evening when in my room, I found it difficult to sit on the bed for a long period of time. This is just a suggestion, not a complaint. 😊

We were there for a function. The whole experience was exceptional.
Pros:

All the staff were amazing and helpful with all requested arrangements. Rooms were spotlessly clean, and had all the toiletries you could need

Cons:

Only complaint is the mattress was a bit hard to sleep on. But we are used to a king-size bed and mattress, so could just be us :)

It can't be any worse than this.
Pros:

We couldn't get in touch with the hotel staff, and they didn't take the initiative to contact us either. They were supposed to call us to inform us of the check-in time. As a result, we ended up sleeping in the car all night. We sent messages and made calls, but couldn't reach anyone and received no response at all.

Cons:

It's ridiculous that they want to upgrade their hotel to charge higher prices, but they ask everyone to donate money for the hotel construction. Unbelievable.
