EXPLORECATION PACKAGE? DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
DON'T GET THE EXPLORECATION PACKAGE. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!
1. Courtyard – Okay lang, but honestly, hindi siya that fun or enjoyable for kids. Super init and mano-mano lahat ng activities. Mas gugustuhin pa ng kids na nasa pool. For me, this is something that should've been included for free because it's definitely not worth paying extra for.
2. Breakfast buffet, dinner buffet, and snacks – Walang kwenta. Parang upper-class karinderya na served in a restaurant. Honestly, mas worth it pang mag-Jollibee.
3. Indoor fun – Nothing special. Parang training room sa BPO na bawat team ay pinag-design ng sariling area for a competition. Ganun yung feels—nagsabit lang ng kung anu-ano sa ceiling. The only decent one for us was the Melody Room, pero isang room lang siya for everyone. Unahan, and you can't really stay long kasi may ibang naghihintay din.
4. Activity Nook – Super disappointing. Isa lang ang activity na puwedeng pagpilian ng kids, and it's the kind of activity na puwede mong bilhin sa Shopee for around ₱150 or less.
5. The room upgrade issue – Kahit free ang kids under 5 years old, required ka pa ring mag-upgrade ng room kapag lumampas kayo sa 4-person room capacity. Imagine, binilang nila pati 1-year-old sa room capacity. So technically, hindi rin talaga "free" because you have to pay more to accommodate them.
6. Toiletries and basic amenities – Sobrang tipid. We were forced to upgrade our room to accommodate 4 adults and 2 kids under 5, pero towels and toiletries were still only provided for 2 people. Yung soap, shampoo, and lotion, parang pang-isang tao lang. You still have to request additional slippers, towels, and robes. And I'm not even sure if they'll deduct the additional charges from our deposit because the room notice says extra toiletries and towels may be charged separately.
Room and pool are okay, so if you're planning to stay here, I would honestly recommend just booking the room and enjoying the pool.
But for us, we spent almost ₱15,000 for 4 adults and 2 kids under 5, and sobrang nakakapanghinayang. We could've booked another hotel with a better room and pool experience for that amount.
Don't get swayed by influencers. Based on our experience, the Explorecation package was absolutely NOT worth the money.
If you're considering booking, skip the package and just get the room. Save your money.
Staff great 👍😃
No access for a handicap wheelchair to the pool.
No microwave to heat the foods
Don't go here if you want to have a stress free staycation!!! This hotel will ask you a penny every move you make!!! Even the courtyard that supposed to be for kids and it's a complimentary but they will ask you to pay 499 pesos for the guardian!! That courtyard is a non mechanical rides! Meaning there is no machine operated!! We as parents need to operate the rides to be able to move it!!!This is disappointing!!
Every thing
No handycap to pool
Nice hotel and applicable samin as 2 adults and 2 kids. Better to book direct para free access sa playground nila. If you go through other booking channel, may additional bayad na sa hotel. Balik kami next time!
This is our go-to hotel whenever we need a breather since it’s conveniently close to our village. The pool is lovely for kids, the meals at Buffet Gourmand are affordable, and the cheese bread at Cafe Excelsior is very tasty. This is one of my 5-year-old daughter’s favorite hotels, next to Okada Manila. :)
Families will surely enjoy the spacious playground outside the hotel and the private play area on the top floor. We were also able to enjoy the small play area and movie nights back when they were still free. :)
Very friendly staffs and helpful and clean.
Location was fine
Rooms is very good and spacious definitely we will go back
We had a generally pleasant stay at Excelsior Hotel Alabang, and the staff were courteous throughout our visit.
However, we experienced a serious safety issue during our stay. I stepped on a nail that was concealed under the carpet in our room (Room xxxx), which resulted in a foot injury requiring medical attention and a tetanus shot at a nearby clinic. This incident significantly affected our stay and caused considerable inconvenience, especially as we were traveling with a young child.
The maintenance team later addressed the issue by removing/hammering down nails found under the carpet, which confirmed that there was a genuine safety hazard in the room.
While the hotel did assist with basic first aid and later covered the tetanus shot, the overall handling of the situation felt reactive rather than proactive, particularly in terms of immediate guest safety measures.
We hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve room inspection and safety procedures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Our stay at the Excelsior Hotel was enjoyable. The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived. Patrick, Faith, and Renz, in particular, stood out for their exceptional service. Patrick was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer all of my husband’s questions—of which there were many. Their respect, and personable nature made our experience even better.
Walking distance to SM.
The hotel is not clean. I booked the suite room but when I went to the room the toilet bowl is dirty. I have to call housekeeping and show it to him the marks. A little stroke of toilet bowl brush the marks came out. The carpet needs to be replace a lot of stain.
…..worst experience in hotel I’ve ever had. Management can’t do anything blames owners and fact that hotel ran out of money while building …got nothing for my NIGHTMARE of a stay not even a free meal coupon. Not even a fresh brew pot in room and I upgraded three levels some nasty instant not even a good one STAY AWAY……
Room size was a highlight.
Bar on lobby floor was not open, ground level restaurant food was over priced and poor quality. Frozen pizza was served still cold and had to be returned. Breakfast included did not include our kids. Eggs order took over 20mins despite no other persons in restaurant.
Review: My Exceptional 5-Star Stay at Excelsior Hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"I am honestly surprised by any negative reviews because my experience at Excelsior Hotel was absolutely flawless!
From the start, the security is top-notch—the guards are very professional and ensure only guests enter, which made us feel very safe. The lobby is stunning, spacious, and cozy, and the front desk staff are so friendly that all my travel stress vanished immediately.
The Room: Pure luxury! It was modern, huge, and felt like a true 5-star suite. I loved that it actually had couches and sofas to lounge on. Every amenity was provided, and the housekeeping/room service is lightning fast—they responded to my calls in under a minute!
The Food: The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had great variety.
If you are looking for a premium, hassle-free stay in Las Piñas, this is it. I’m giving them a well-deserved 5 stars!"
Two of us shared the 2-bedroom apartment. It was very nice and HUGE! Very large bathrooms. One room had a king bed and the other two twins. Note there is a fridge & sink but it is not rented as a kitchen. There are not dishes, utensils - I think a couple of coffee mugs and glasses. It was very busy over New Years and check-in went very quickly, albeit a wait, but we arrived early and still got in earlier than check-in time. They require a damage deposit and I made the mistake of paying cash. The day of checkout they have to send someone to inspect the room while you wait! We ate a few times in the restaurant and repeatedly they did not have items that were on the menu. Twice they did not tell us for 15-20 minutes and we had to start over again. And we had to share menus back and forth with another table because the huge restaurant only had two menus! Not sure why. The breakfast buffet was limited, but fine. There is a note in the room with a price list if you use extra toiletries. It is a nice hotel. I would likely stay again if I need to stay in Las Pinas, but it is not close to the airport and traffic can be brutal.
One of the best in the metro. They have several great rides in the courtyard/playground and the pool is big with adult, kiddie pool at small water park. Great value for a relaxing ad happy staycation with the fam.
If you’re looking for a straightforward, family-friendly hotel that delivers comfort and convenience, The Excelsior Hotel is a great pick. It’s a simple escape, but one that lets you reconnect, recharge, and enjoy time together. Family friendly and kid friendly specially with their amenties like the kids play area, kiddie swimming pool, coutryard rides and many more
