So close to motorway it is a bit noisy

The room smelt badly of drains, an obvious issue with the drainage and SVP
The large sash window in the room is stuck open at the top sash. impossible to close, so could hear the traffic all night
At 0430am there was deliver, very load, banging, shouting, slamming doors etc, which given the time in the morning woke me and my wife, could not get back to sleep, little though here for the guests located near the drop of point
Clean, tidy - great staff and service
From arriving early, before check-in, the staff were lovely. We took drinks in the shade on the terrace.
The check-in was easy and the rooms were lovely.
The breakfast was excellent on both mornings and given the heat having breakfast on the covered terrace was wonderful.
The night we ate in the evening the food was excellent, the Wagu burger was fabulous as were the duck tacos.
Drinks were a bit more than City of London prices, which I found a little surprising.
The car park gets very busy over lunchtime so if you get there before check-in time it may be tight for parking.

The air con in the room as it was hilot generally in the hotel.
We had a family meal to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. The meal was great and we were not put under pressure by the staff at all, so really relaxed. The night's stay was also good and a nice breakfast
Only one minor thing, the mattress was a little to soft for our liking - the room, however, was great!
