We liked the cleanliness and friendly staff. We did not like the thin walls and noise levels.
Pros:

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was better than many that I have experienced. The room and bathroom were clean and looked well-maintained. The bus from Whittier goes straight to this hotel, which is convenient and the reason I chose it.

Cons:

There was only one chair in the room, which makes it a little uncomfortable for a couple. The biggest beef I had was that the walls are so thin we could hear every word spoken in the next room. Fortunately, the family next to us went to sleep at 10pm. Otherwise, I would have asked for another room. The TV has a terrible picture on all channels.

Great stay!
Pros:

The location was perfect and close to everything we were looking for. The staff was nice and the breakfast was better than most places. The beds are comfortable and the room was clean. We would stay here again.

Couldn’t have asked for better accommodation.We had a family suite and beds were extremely comfy

Everything was 5 star. Everything seemed brand new

Cons:

Maybe a few more smiles from one of the staff members
We were on the 2 nd floor and there must have been a family with small children above. Roof was not very soundproof.

Seward was a great place to visit and the Gateway hotel was the best place to stay!
