Great place to relax in a busy area for sightseeing.
Pros:

The hotel is a lovely old building, you go back 150 years when you walk through the door. Lovely room, high ceilinged, with antique furniture and a bed wide enough for 4. The gardens are a delight, and the swimming pool long enough for a good swim.

Cons:

Only down side was a mediocre breakfast, hot scrambled eggs, only if you asked, and poor cheap croissants.

Ottima soluzione per vedere Sintra
Pros:

Stanza grande e spaziosa, con un bel giardino e piscina, tranquillo e silenzioso, con parcheggio gratuito interno, anche se un po' stretto con pochi posti. Personale molto gentile. Ottimo per arrivare a piedi al centro di Sintra

Interessantes Hotwl mit guter Lage und tollem Pool
Pros:

Die Lage war super. In einem grünen Tal mit wunderschönem Garten und atemberaubendem Pool. Die Villa ist wirklich beeindruckend von außen.
Praktisch war auch der Parkplatz im abgesperrten Hof. Die Mirarbeiter:innen waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Das Hotel müht sich mit Farbe und Instandhaltungen gegen die Zeit anzukämpfen. Auch macht es einen grundsätzlich sauberen Eindruck. Aber man muss leider feststellen, es ist einfach sehr aus der Zeit gefallen, und das nicht erst seit gestern.
Wer eine Zeitreise unternehmen will ist hier richtig.
Alle anderen werden sich an vielen Stellen einfach nur wundern, warum einiges nicht längst in Ordnung gebracht oder modernisiert wurde.
Nicht zuletzt das vielgelobte Frühstück war eher einfach/normal und wurde teilweise interessant dargeboten.

Ein sehr schönes "Anwesen", mit einer herrlichen Gartenanlage. Gemütliche Zimmer, ein tolles Frühstück und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Die Altstadt ist fußläufig schnell erreichbar. Die ganze Umgebung ist einfach schön.

Gorgeous gardens, lovely breakfast and staff. Hotel decor needs an update.
Pros:

Gorgeous property with beautiful gardens. The hotel was a manor house and has large rooms. The wonderful breakfast is served on the ground floor with views of the garden. Location is good, easy walk to the bus stop that will take you to the center of town and a short uphill walk to restaurants.

Cons:

In general the hotel could use an update. We found the soft furnishings; drapes, bedspreads and carpets old, worn and the our room was musty. There was a little mold around the windows. Not great if you have allergies. Very tight parking, we had an inch on either side to navigate through to their small parking area which can only accommodate about 6 cars.
