The check-in was done by the person serving drinks at the bar, we were interrupted constantly, we couldn’t really understand what he was saying. When we got up to our room we realised we needed additional pillows. On going back down into the bar to request some he didn’t know what we really wanted and offered some pillowcases. Instead I would’ve liked to have an iron to iron my dress for the night but he also didn’t have any idea where that might be.
The room was grotty, cold. The bed was so low down you had to nearly get on your knees to get into it. Possibly give this property three stars for the Accommodation.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Great location close to Sydney CBD.
There was not much hot water as part of the facility, so showers were rather cool.
Such a cute spot and rooms were decorated in a cool way. Definitely not a luxury apartment and Definitely not a seedy pub stay. Cozy, clean and excellent location.
Customer service to call through and check in was not the best however needs were met eventually.

The location was perfect for our stay in the city for Vivid. We were blown away when we found the rooftop bar with it’s absolutely stunning views and Sunday evening music. We spent at least a couple of hours there before venturing out into the vivid experience !
The room was more than adequate for our stay in winter in keeping with the heritage of the building. Staff were very accommodating.
We were ignorant of the rooftop bar and as we booked in we were not alerted to it by the hotel staff.

The place needs cosmetic tidy up
We celebrated my 70th birthday here after discovering the hotel when we were exploring the area late last year. We really loved the location which is quite central and our room was bathed in sunlight as was the balcony. We intend coming back for another stay Staff were great. Loved the roof top bar and awesome views.

Location
Check - in could be improved. We left our bags at the hotel early, unable to check in early, we advised we had a wedding and not sure of our return time. Staff advised we would get a code if we weren’t back by 11pm. When I hadn’t received a code nearing 11pm, I tried calling multiple times unable to get through. So my husband left the wedding, taxied back to make sure we had access to the room.
Suggestion, send the code earlier in instances like this.
Great location easy transit or walking to most locations.
It was fine. Old charm .
Good location and quirky.
It was very hot - no air-conditioning and the ceiling fan was pretty useless. We managed to prop open the window using a wooden coat-hanger. The bed was not comfortable and I was bitten by something during the night - not sure if it was mosquitoes or something else.
Location is fantastic. Room was generous with a great view from the balcony. Rooftop bar very nice.
Shower temperature was a bit hit and miss. Was a bit noisy at night - can hear other guests coming and going and even in their rooms.
Proximity to our event
The creaky floors all night. I know it’s an old place and I get that but it was annoying.
