Pros:

Personnel très arrangeant pour garder nos bagages et les faire acheminer ailleurs. Chambre fonctionnelle et très bien équipée. Quartier calme.

Accès à la chambre avec ascenseur, bien pratique pour porte les gros sacs ou valises
Nous avons dîné sur place car nous étions fatigués … ce n’est pas de la grande cuisine et ça dépanne quand on a pas envie de bouger.
Petit déjeuner correct sans plus comme un peu tous les petits déjeuner au Pérou.
Ils ont gardé nos valises pendant 2 jours le temps d’aller faire le treck de Colca.
Tout le monde est très serviable
Eau chaude dans la douche

Ottima struttura per soggiornare a Chivay
Pros:

Staff accogliente e disponibile, ottimo rapporto/qualità prezzo. Disponiblità del garage privato per parcheggiare la propria auto. Stanze moderne e pulite. Possibilità di colazione da asporto se richiesta in orari differenti da quelli di apertura della sala.

Cons:

Disponiblità della sola colazione occidentale, ma sono gusti personali e non una problematica della struttura.

Good option in Chivay
Pros:

Friendly, helpful staff. More modern building. Relatively quiet location, only 5-10 mins walk to main square. Clean, quiet spacious room, with a column heater! Good hot water once it arrived. Wifi OK when it worked. Usual breakfast: juice, egg, bread, jam, tea/coffee. Hot water for tea from 5-9pm. Restaurant caters to day trippers and offers lunch. I'd stay again. Chivay town has enough of interest for a half or full day. The canyon beyond is great.

I went to Chivay on a day bus because I didn't want to get up at 3am for a day tour from Arequipa or do the 2 day tour. I ended up joining the 3am tour in Chivay at a more civilised hour. With hindsight, I'd probably take more time and just use public transport in the canyon or stay further up the canyon (beyond the 70 soles entry point). All the tours seem coordinated so people can join the 13:00 bus from Chivay to Puno (which is a good trip).

Cons:

My room was near a billiard table but fortunately it was not a noise problem. Usual noises from 5 am, otherwise quiet. Bathroom had a musty smell, that was particularly strong after using the shower. Might have been the drain. Internet was highly variable, maybe worked only 50% of the time. Issue was probably in the outside network.

Bella camera spaziosa e pulita

Cons:

Acqua calda durata meno di 1 minuto. Fatto presente alla tipa della reception che ha detto che funzionava e che bisognava aspettare un po'. Mai più tornata neanche dopo mezz'ora.

Cons:

El hotel tiene un aspecto algo descuidado, con muebles bastante viejos. El taxista que nos recomendaron no vino a recogernos a la hora acordada, tuvimos que llamar a otro.
