The Castle
Pros:

This hotel is in a wonderful location close to the English Garden. The rooms are basic, but very comfortable. It's in a very nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The breakfast buffet is tasty and varied. The subway is an easy walk away and easy to use. If you stay in "the castle", the rooms are huge and well appointed with beautiful views of the gardens.

Eine ruhige und preiswerte Unterkunft in einer Toplage
Pros:

Super Lage, alles in Super-Zustand, kurzfristige Buchung möglich, Super-Frühstück.
Sehr angenehmes und freundliches Personal.
Trotz der Nähe zum Schwabinger Nachtleben war das Zimmer ausgesprochen ruhig.

Cons:

Leider komme ich mit harten Matratzen schlecht zurecht.
Die Parkplatzsituation, speziell zum Aus- und Einladen könnte besser sein.

A special place in a special location
Pros:

This was my second visit to this unique property and it didnt disappoint. Recommend you stay at in the former bishops palace section. The ambience of the older building with its extensive garden and access to the Englisher Garten located just outside is what makes this place so special. Rooms comfortable but not luxurious. No lift but only two floors and stairs easy to navigate. Location also offered easy public transport into centre of Munich and staff happy to assist.

Cons:

To explain - this place is the former Catholic Archbishops residence with more functional modern conference accommodation at the front - which I havent tried. Breakfast which is included was only okish but you are staying for the location and history

Loved it and it lived up to it's great reviews!
Pros:

We LOVED this hotel! It felt like staying in an old castle, and I guess that's what it was! It was a gorgeous view and the staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Cons:

Room was a bit bare decorative-wise, but it really doesn't need anything, the location and outside view make up for it.
