Hotel Saini with Air conditioning

Great location in the town, close to the ferry and the bus stop for the airport. Spacious room and clean.

Air conditioning that easily managed the June 2026 European heat wave! Hotel Stresa has the best location, is close to the ferry terminal and in the heart of Stresa’s best restaurants. The hotel’s father and son management, provides superior customer service, a generous breakfast with a spotlessly clean rooms.

Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber. Gutes Einzelzimmer, mitten im Zentrum von Stresa, dennoch ruhig.. Frühstück war ebenfalls gut.

I stayed at this hotel for a week, and the experience was better than the photos suggest. The building is clean and well-maintained, with noticeable quality in the doors and finishing materials. The wooden flooring is more beautiful than it appears in the photos: real wood that adds both decorative and practical warmth, and it does not make any noise when walking on it.

The service was professional, with the staff present when needed. I would especially like to thank Mr. Federico, who was consistently attentive to guests, asked about their needs, and was available when needed.

The location is a real advantage worth considering alongside the hotel’s other strengths: on the second line from the waterfront, in the heart of Stresa, close to the boat and bus stations, and within a short walking distance of the main square.

My room faced the inner neighborhood, but it was genuinely quiet despite the hotel’s proximity to lively areas. The mattress and pillows were comfortable and of good quality, and the sheets and towels were clean, in good condition, and of good quality. The bathroom was also good, with adequate and suitable water pressure, although adjusting the warm water requires a little patience until you get it right. The sliding shower door, made of transparent fiberglass, also takes a bit of getting used to when closing it. Overall, however, the shower experience was perfectly satisfactory and of good quality.

The air conditioning was effective — and I consider this an essential part of comfort, not a minor detail, especially in warm weather or after a long day of moving around.

Breakfast was good and varied: cheeses, eggs, fresh bread, juices, pastries, and several kinds of sweet baked goods, as well as espresso and cappuccino.

The hotel is rated three stars, but it gives the impression of being above its category in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, quietness, and attention to detail.

Spent 3 nights at the Saini as a solo traveller and certainly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is in an ideal location, just off Stresa seafront in the old town, a short walk to the ferry terminal and literally 2 minutes walk from the airport bus, stop. In the locality has plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel itself is traditional and family run and offers excellent value for Stresa. The single room was fairly basic, the big plus being a very efficient air-con unit. There was a small flat screen TV on which I couldn't find any international channels, plenty of storage and a small en-suite, equipped with a shower. The shower itself was efficient, but was equipped with a curtain, which wouldn't be my preference. The room had a balcony opening up onto an internal area. Functional is probably the best word to describe the room which isn't a criticism as it offered a good nights sleep. Breakfast was served in the first floor breakfast room, and was fairly normal, nothing outstanding but certainly set you up for the day. Seating was allocated which is pretty common for hotels and the coffee was excellent. Frederico was friendly and helpful and it was great to have a chat with him, also the breakfast lady was very nice. There's a bar area which was ideal for a final drink or a coffee or water. For good value accommodation in Stresa, I would certainly recommend The Saini.

Location was close to heart of beautiful Stresa. Host, Fredrico was very gracious and helpful with local information, including guidance to see local travel agency to plan for last minute train ride changes needed to make connections timely to Milan; this because of repair work being done on train lines. The morning breakfast was fabulous.

Location was excellent being so close to the marina and lake. Room was very clean, breakfast was great and bed was comfortable. Is a family business and the host was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay again if we visit.

Perfect location close to restaurants, shops and access to boats to islands. Staff could not have been more helpful, they were great. Rooms are simple but very clean and spacious - have everything you need. Good shower. Good breakfast. Would recommend.
