Location. Views. Comfortable beds. Crispy bed linen. Well stocked toiletries. Friendly staff.
Some of the bedroom furniture was a bit dated and could do with a revamp.
Excellent location and delicious food. Very friendly staff. In the middle of nowhere but close to everything. Perfect place for a quiet break.
All good
Breakfast was very good and the pub and restaurant fantastic. Great views of the mountains and surrounding area. Staff super friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. We look forward to coming back.
excellent service
The location is stunning with amazing views. The afternoon lunch was very nice. Some of the staff more enthusiastic than others.
The hotel is very dated. Dark, dull and a little dirty. Whilst eating, the service was slow and the number of flies everywhere was very annoying. The bedroom had no air conditioning, not even a fan provided and it had an unpleasant odour. The bathroom has a bizarrely huge vanity worktop and therefore a very narrow bath with no shower hose and only a rain-shower head over, along with a plastic shower curtain. I had to stand sideways, push the curtain off myself with one hand and try showering with the other.
The hotel was lovely especially the terrace with the view. Nice, quiet location. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was substantial.
The dinner was disappointing. The risotto was bland and the falafel in the salad were very hard and dry inside. Even with the tzatziki the dish was still dry.
Lovely quiet location yet not too far from Tipperary town. Clean room and public areas. Beautiful views of mountains from spacious hotel terrace. Tasty food and a fine breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.
No lift :-(
Location and views stunning. Breakfast and dinner lovely.
Arrived at the hotel for our anniversary which the hotel knew about beforehand. Got to the hotel went to the room and was instantly disappointed. Room 209 the 0 was missing from 209. Opened the door to find the room was not finished!! Stains on the ceiling, on the walls behind the curtain poles not painted, room needed a clean it totally took away from our experience. I went to the reception and told them they then went to give me room 109 so I went to check the minute we opened the door there was a smell and this room was also not painted in parts. We had no choice but to stay in room 209 as they had no other rooms available. We were highly disappointed with this and it ruined our weekend away for our anniversary. The veranda also needs a good sweep rubbish all around the sides and the railing needs painting.
Everything at Aherlow exceptional amazing staff and services
There is nothing which you will don’t like at the property.
Peaceful. Beautiful scenery. Very comfortable.
Very good evening meal. Staff very good friendly & helpful, beautiful setting in the glen of Aherlow.
Nice walks all around the hotel. Nice old bar & restaurant, lovely patio area for weddings looking over the glen
The hotel is a bit dated, old carpets on hallways & stairs needs changing. We stayed in room 202 so maybe its the oldest part of building. No view from the room. Very popular for weddings i think. one due when we were checking on Saturday morning
The view from our bedroom was spectacular
We stated in the suite and if there had been dressing gowns, they would have been the icing on the cake .
The staff were amazing, polite ,friendly and attentive, large airy room, large en-suite
The breakfast was unbelievably tasty, as was the evening meal ,well done to kitchen staff probably the best breakfast we’ve had in any Irish accommodation .
Not keen on carpet in dining areas as it holds old food odours this unfortunately was the case.
While not apposed to dated furniture as it can add to the atmosphere it does need to look cared for and finally the mattress ,it was very old and very uncomfortable and needing replaced asap felt like we were sleeping on the original lol The shower in the bath is not a safe option as you get older so a walk in shower is an inexpensive and simple swap out option .
have stayed there a few times
