Have stayed several times now. It’s a great location for us and food in bar : restaurant is really good.

Location is great. The owners are really nice and caring about guests. Room was nice and cozy. Informations in the book about transport, dinning in pub etc were so helpfull. Highly recommend.

Although the room was very clean, very nicely presented, we felt claustrophobic.
The room was very small, very compact.
The room would have suited one guest. Two guests - the room was full. If we had been larger people we definitely would have struggled for space.
There was little space around the bed by the bathroom and end of the bed.
The bathroom was very small, you had to squeeze to the side of the toilet to be able to open/close the folding bathroom door.
The room contained a small table with tea/coffee tray, hairdryer hooked to side of the connected small wardrobe. To be able to use the table space, the tray had to go on the window sill.
The table had a mirror on the wall, as if it could be used as a dressing table, however with the haidryer, tv and dark curtains filling the space it was too dark to see in the mirror.
The lighting in the room was very very low, bulbs not bright enough to see well in the room.
The bed dipped too much at the pillow end, the feet end being raised so much, it felt as though we were lying upside down. It was so uncomfortable we reversed the way we slept, placing our pillows at the feet end, sleeping the opposite way.
The room was based to the side of the car park, with outside seating area for patrons close by. The noise outside naturally went on for a long while. We could clearly hear every word of the conversations going on.
It was not the little break we imagined, not a restful stay.
Very disappointing. 🙁
The pub next to the accommodation
There was nothing to dis like. Staff were most helpful and polite. Room was lovely and clean . Bed was very comfortable and there's a bus stop opposite on the Cardiff to Newport route with the last bus back from Cardiff approx 11pm.

Bellissimo il pub ma purtroppo la domenica la cucina chiude presto e siamo dovuti andare altrove per mangiare ...
Comunque lo staff gentilissimo ci ha dato informazioni utili per trovare un pub aperto ma non era dello stesso livello...
Le stanze sono in una struttura staccata e quindi su perde un po' l'esperienza del pub con stanze supra (INN)...

The room was just behind the pub/restaurant, it had heating, a nice bathroom with shower, and the room was cosy. The staff were very friendly and was even given room service for the food that I ordered in the pub. I asked for an invoice for my stay and they provided this to me straight away. They don’t serve breakfast but they offer a breakfast basket/hamper where you pay for what you want (in a list given) and this will be delivered and dropped off the night before.
Nothing not to like. If I want to be very picky, just that there needs to be a little more time to dust and polish the wardrobe area as there was some dust in the hangers, otherwise everywhere was very clean.

Stayed here several times. The evening meal was excellent. Staff are superb here. Very easy parking. Good internet. Quiet. Shower superb. Comfortable chair and room to nice standard.
As warm as it is, the quilt was a super thick winter one. Way too much. Struggled to sleep. Bathroom has a mould smell.
