The location
Price, hotel is outdated, staff do not look very bothered or in a rush to help, we had to call the reception 3 times for the same issue
The room was beautiful and spacious. Three venue itself was lovely.
The bathroom could use a tidy up. The drinks were very expensive and my wine came out warm.
Comfortable bed
Noisy, wedding guests, extra charge for parking
Room was a generous size for a standard room. As well as the superking sized bed, bedside tables and wardrobe, there was a coffee table and chairs, plus a desk and chair, all with plenty of space to get around. Tea and coffee making facilities were in their own area, rather than on the desk, which was nice.
Bathroom was modern and clean, with good walk in shower and toiletries provided. Breakfast was good overall - excellent field mushrooms, seasoned well.
We were situated close to the lift motor room and could hear the quiet drone of the motor cutting in and out. It wasn't the volume that was an issue, only that the noise was intermittent (a bit like someone snoring quietly, but irregularly)! However we ended up using the fan in the room and the white noise that provided masked the sound of the motor.
Only complaint with the cooked food was that it was only just warm. We came down to eat half an hour before breakfast finished.
Courtyard was lovely
The bed. Mattress uncomfortable
Clean, safe room. Massive bed. Spa area was good, clean.
I wasn’t too keen on paying for parking as a hotel guest.
The breaksfast and the spa facilities.
That even though you pay so much for hotel you have to still pay for parking & a tray charge for room service.
The . Pool & Sawn a
The room was a nice size, very clean and tidy. It had everything i needed. The spa was also very nice and relaxing after a long day, albeit no padlocks. Large TV was great too.
After staying here for around 5 years in a row now, this year felt like things have taken a bad turn with the newer additions.
Parking charges now apply. Which we paid at the reception. Then I received 4 parking tickets when I got home anyway.
There's now a 10% gratuity fee automatically added to all orders at the bar and resteraunt that will be removed, but only if you ask each time, I felt bad asking and always left a bad taste. This isn't america. Tipping is optional. Pay your staff better wages if they need it.
We ate in the resteraunt on the first night and were left waiting over 1 hour 20mins for our food. Which definitely wasnt worth the wait when it finally arrived. My steak was cold. We decided to find another option for the rest of the weekend.
Lovely room, friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast
Nothing
Location for planned trip was perfect ,good evening meal and well presented breakfast with varied choices.
Quality ingredients used.
Complimentary drinks in fridge.
Pleasant friendly staff
Shower was difficult to use due to height of shower attachment, no air con in room.
Beds could have been more comfortable.
Although the food was good we had to wait 75 minutes for our food due to a coach
party also our cocktails were very basic and watery. We were underwhelmed by the spa facilities are very small .
Breakfast was lovely, great selection of food and staff were so helpful
I didn't like that 10% is added to every bill for tips
I really like this place. It is my go too for relaxing.
Comfy bed, ideal location, helpful and friendly staff
Having to pay for parking. No air conditioning in the room ,no ventilation in the bathroom. The shower was very difficult to set at a reasonable temperature.
The Spa
Expensive drinks
Rusty shower rails and dusty fans in bedrooms.
Swimming pool and spa was good with times for the children to enjoy it, breakfast was really good.
Needed air con in the rooms, also there were coaches idling outside our bedroom window which wasn't nice. We didn't all get a towel in the room.
