Totally stay here!! You won't regret it!
Pros:

Wow!! Where to begin. Everything was fabulous from beginning to end! We loved the entire experience. The staff, the check-in, the rooms, the pub, the food, the drinks, the locals, the atmosphere were all fabulous!! Everyone from the staff to the locals were so inviting, kind, funny, warm, and just so awesome I wish I could visit often!! Sophie and Dan (We saw the most of) were the BEST!!! I'm so glad we found this place on our adventures. Hope to see you all again!

Cons:

Maybe a bigger fan in the room :)

Decent room, plenty of lit parking, great staff 👍🏻
Pros:

Convenient and plenty of free parking.

Cons:

No way of turning the heated (very hot) towel rail off and a bit unfair that room prices rocket when there’s money to be made (The Open is on at Birkdale this week).
Having said that, it’s a business where making profit is the goal so not a reflection on the accommodation.

Comfortable stay, good breakfast
Pros:

Comfortable room, very clean, excellent breakfast. Plenty of parking spaces, rooms accessed directly from car park.
Good atmosphere in the pub, nice outdoor seating area.

Cons:

Limiters on window openings - weather was very hot and it was difficult to naturally ventilate the room. However this was helped by a small, but effective, electric fan.

Pros:

The value for the money and standard of stat was great. The staff were very friendly and the place felt homely.

Cons:

There was alot of creaking from the room above throughout the night. We would definitely need to stay in a top floor room if we were to stay again

Pros:

Nice spacious room. Large, comfortable bed for us and kids single beds looked comfortable and both slept well as well as our baby on the provided travel cot.

Tea station was good to have.

Great blackout curtains.

Shower was decent with body wash dispenser.

Friendly staff.

Good dinner with speedy service.

Cons:

A fan would have been great in the heat wave but understand not always possible.

There was loads of towels in the bath and I was unsure if these were dirty, so only used 2 large towels and 2 hand towels that were on the bed/radiator and use my own towels for the kids.

Could have killed for a biscuit with my tea.

Breakfast was a bit of a wait to order. We had 2 young kids(3 &4) that had been up since 6am and had to wait till 8:30, then it was a wait at the table whilst the girl had loads of others to serve too.
