Pros:

Wahou! Une petite pépite.
Dépaysement total. L établissement est décoré avec goût.
Le restaurant/bar est top.
Le petit dej est extra avec une mention spéciale pour les crêpes, un délice.
Je vous recommande les yeux fermés.

Pros:

Struttura bellissima. Tutto curato nel dettaglio. Molto pulita. I proprietari gentilissimi e molto accoglienti. La struttura offre un sacco di servizi come lezioni di yoga, massaggi, bar con eventi musicali serali di cui purtroppo non abbiamo potuto usufruire perché abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte. Ristorante ottimo. Molto consigliato.

Beautiful place run by great people
Pros:

My family and I stayed 5 nights here and felt very comfortable and taken care of. It really is an oasis in Matemwe and there are so many nice places to sit and relax. It feels organic and authentic and that is exactly what we were looking for on this trip. We relaxed by the pools, read, played games, watched a great acrobat show and enjoyed talking to all the staff. Mona made us feel very welcome and never forgot our names. Mohammad, Fum and Rajabu did a great job behind the bar and we loved how Rajabu’s art was incorporated within the resort. It really has a family feel and you can tell that Maria and Paco are very involved with the community as all the locals that we spoke to seemed to know them. Maria also gave me an extremely relaxing massage which I can definitely recommend. Our rooms were cleaned daily and the grounds staff were always sweeping and cleaning the pools. Every other hotel we stayed in had really hard mattresses but the beds here were quite comfortable. This is an eco lodge so there is no air con. Our son struggled a bit but it was generally manageable with fans and the windows open.

Cons:

The only thing I would add is a mini fridge because being able to have cold water in the rooms is really important in such a hot country and also some hammocks, because this is a hammock kinda place 🤷🏻‍♀️🤩.

Beautiful property with magnificent gardens , lots of different places to relax and unwind . Rooms spotless with lovely layout , space and style . A number of different shared areas , cool pools , reading corners and perfect ZEN . Excellent restaurant food at fair value prices . We loved this stay so much . Engaging friendly team. Tout était parfait, un petit havre de paix
Pros:

Tout s’est bien pensé, les chambres sont confortables, les lieux de vie et les piscines très agréables. Le petit dej parfait et tout cela a 10 min à pied de Matemwe beach. Vous pouvez même emprunter des vélos

Wir haben dort mit unseren beiden Kindern 6 schöne, entspannte Tage .

Eine sehr schöne, liebevoll gestaltete Unterkunft, mit einem wunderschönen Garten und mehreren Katzen, die unsere Kinder sofort ins Herz geschlossen haben.
Die Gastgeber und das Personal waren sehr freundlich, gut gelaunt und zuvorkommend. Es herrscht eine sehr familiäre Stimmung mit positivem Spirit.
Super Essen, tolle Drinks!

Es gibt viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, die von den Gadtgebern angeboten und organisiert werden.

Der Fußweg zum Meer lädt dazu ein mit Einheimischen in Kontakt zu kommen.

Wir sind froh, dass wir diesen schönen Platz kennen gelernt haben und würden jederzeit wieder kommen ☺️

A hidden gem
Pros:

We liked the beautyful garden and the 3(!) pools, and the very comfy bedroom. Also, transfer to and from Salama Mbuyuni is easy to arrange. The owners and staff are super kind. We immedeatly felt like at home. We‘d definitely book again!

Pros:

La amabilidad del personal; la limpieza y la facilidad para gestionar excursiones. Fuimos en familia y tiene una zona de entrenamiento para los niños que les encantó. También pudimos disfrutar de música en directo a la noche y acrobacias. Para ir a la playa un pequeño paseo , tiene varias piscinas y la decoración y los jardines tienen mucho gusto e integrados en los paisajes de Zanzibar

Friendly, beautiful and calm slice of paradise.
Pros:

I loved the beauty of the hotel and grounds, the kind staff, the friendly cats and kittens, the tranquility and also the cocktails. Maria and Paco are wonderful people who collect books, clothes and essentials for local schools and community. Definitely worth bringing some pens/books if you can!

Cons:

I loved everything about the hotel but probably not ideal if you have cat allergies!
