This hotel is what you'd expect from a Holiday Inn: comfortable, clean, with good facilities. The room was big. Staff are helpful.
The hotel is an anonymous new building with not much in the way of character. The location is convenient for the M6 but don't expect beautiful or interesting surroundings. My after dinner walk was through the car park and along a busy road...
The restaurant was ok, but my Caesar Salad was drowned in far too much sauce which was a shame.

Menu prices went up to chippy £16 for us both instead of £23 for 1 meal @ hotel
The swimming pool was nice as too was the evening meal and breakfast from the restaurant

This is a fairly standard commercial hotel close to the M6 motorway and met my needs when travelling south from Scotland. Breakfast was excellent!
My three comments were that the restaurant food was poor. The Nachos starter was certainly acceptable but the Chicken, Leek and Ham Hough Pie was almost inedible with a concrete like topping and a very soggy bottom and very limited filling, masked with plenty of creamy mash and well cooked green vegetables (no complaint about them). Secondly, the bar only stocked high value spirits with equally high prices and lastly, there was plastic litter left in the corridor when I arrived which was not collected by the night porter which shows a lack of care. I may use the hotel again because if its location but I shall eat elsewhere.
I use this hotel whenever we are in the area because it is always exceptional. It’s the staff who make it.

Location perfect for our trip and staff were super helpful giving a £20 reduction to the price as the electric vechile charger was not working.
Electric vehicle chargers installed not yet commissioned.
The swimming pool and great location for what we was doing that weekend

Drinks expensive …bartender checked we were ok paying £15 for one large glass of wine !
Gute Lage zwischen Manchester und Liverpool. Nettes Personal.
Ruhige Lage, konnten Nachts ruhig bei offenem Fenster schlafen.
Leider konnten wir das Gym nicht nutzen da mein Sohn erst 14 ist.
Ideal location for where we visited
Old furnishings in the bedrooms, paint work all scuffed in the bathroom, the bathroom smelt of wee, which we did report and was sorted but for £117 this was not value for money.
Bar and restaurant was great. Very very friendly staff, 10/10.
Not the highest quality rooms for 4 stars, but was a fine stay for sure.
