Pros:

Es ging unserem kleinen Säugling an einem Mittag mal nicht gut und ich war relativ aufgebracht als Mutter... das Personal dort hat mich mit seiner Ruhe und der eigenen Erfahrung auf jeden Fall beruhigen können und war auch immer für ein Gespräch bereit. Der Saunabereich war extrem schön und ruhig, das hat dann nach dem ganzen Trubel gut getan.

Cons:

Ich hatte mir an einem Nachmittag einen Tee geholt aus dem Kaffee dort und er war extrem teuer. Ich habe noch nie 6,50 € irgendwo für einen Tee bezahlt

Pros:

Die Lage war absolut toll und das Frühstücksbuffet sehr gut.

Cons:

Ich habe die Möglichkeit vermisst, auf dem Zimmer Kaffee oder Tee zubereiten zu können.

Het personeel van het hotel vonden wij weinig meedenkend en soms behoorlijk kortaf. Ook in het restaurant leek het personeel meer bezig met andere zaken, zoals het knippen van nagels, dan met het helpen van de gasten. Daarom hebben wij ervoor gekozen om in het dorp te eten. Zowel het Griekse als het Italiaanse restaurant beviel ons erg goed en paste beter bij onze voorkeur. Daarnaast was de slaapkamer erg warm en gehorig, waardoor wij vrijwel alles van de buren konden horen.

Tolles Erlebnis, tolles Schloss, etwas trostlose Umgebung.
Pros:

Eine tolle Lage, ein wunderschönes Schloss! Sehr gut renauviert! Das Frühstück war sehr umfassend und gut! Das Essen im Turm war hervorragend! Das Museum ist sehr spannend! Der Ausblick von Zimmer, Terasse und Restaurants ist atemberaubend! Die Unterkunft ist nicht ganz günstig, aber auf einem Schloss zu übernachten ist schon ein einmaliges Erlebnis. Es gab auch eine Sauna, aber da kam ich nicht dazu. Das Zimmer war klein, aber schöner Ausblick, sehr sauber, es war alles da und sehr gute Dusche.

Cons:

Die Umgebung fand ich enttäuschend. Eigentlich in Reichweite keine guten Cafés oder Restaurantes. Die Umgebung ist trist, viel Leerstand, teilweise bedrückend, kaum Menschen auf der Straße. Im Schloss selbst ist es schön, wenn auch ziemlich leer. Aber in der Umgebung hat uns leider nicht viel gefallen. Auch die Schifffahrt auf dem halbleeren Stausee und einem fast leeren Schiff war ziemlich trostlos.

Ein sehr entspannter Aufenthalt in einem äußerst ungewöhnlichen Ambiente mit sehr aufmerksame Servic
Pros:

Das Gebäude, in dem sich das Hotel befindet, ist außergewöhnlich und wirklich schön.
Der Service war sehr gut und aufmerksam, man ging auf meine Wünsche sehr zuvorkommend ein.
Das Frühstück war sehr gut, abwechslungsreich und von guter Qualität.
Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend mit tollem Blick auf den Edersee und über die gesamte Gegend hinweg.
Das Zimmer war wunderschön, sauber und Ur-gemütlich mit einem großartigen Bett ( nach dem 5-Sterne Hyatt in Paris das beste Bett, das ich je in einem Hotel erleben durfte).
Insgesamt ein empfehlenswertes Hotel.

Cons:

Das Abendessen im Restaurant des Hotels kam nicht ganz an seinen Anspruch heran.

Die Lage ist sehr besonders und die Ruhe im Wellnessbereich sehr erholsam.

Cons:

Das 4 Gang Menü am Abend hat noch viel Luft nach oben. War definitiv nicht so gut. Dafür waren aber alle Angestellten sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

This is a beautiful, historic castle with gorgeous views of the lake & National Park. My son-in-law enjoyed a hike on the trails while we took a tour of the castle museum & dungeons, & explored the town of Waldeck. The breakfast was outstanding. The rooms & beds very nice & comfortable. We stayed 2 nights, & all wished we could have stayed longer. We plan on returning! Highly recommend!

Schöne Platz, tolle Lage

Das Ambiente und die Lage des Burghotels ist außergewöhnlich, vor allem der Blick auf den Eder-Stausee und die umliegenden Wälder hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht.

Cons:

Leider setzt sich der an sich positive Gesamteindruck im Restaurant “Alte Turmuhr” nicht fort, denn das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt dort nicht. Originalität und Qualität der Speisen sind dem Preisniveau nicht ebenbürtig.
