Disappointed, would not stay again.
Pros:

Lovely quiet location. Private. Close to local restaurants and places of significance to our stay.

Cons:

PIN entry code incorrect. Poor communication from the accommodation staff. Wifi was not working. TV was not working. Stained mattress and dirty quilt. Very poor quality pillows. Outside seating facilities not available as advertised.

Marvellous building and grounds. No hesitation in recommending Whalley Abbey.
Pros:

Extremely friendly host, spacious bedroom, privacy, excellent views from our room. Public rooms and stunning, and very useful honesty box with fridge and snacks. Home from home.

Cons:

not a dislike, but some may consider some of the room facilities dated, but we actually appreciate that that is actually what builings such as this are quite often like.

A short, comfortable, interesting and unusual venue for a weekend walking break.
Pros:

The location both within Whalley and the wider Clitheroe area was excellent. The staff were courteous, welcoming, friendly, professional and helpful. The ruins of the abbey and the the subsequent country house were beautifully preserved and accessible to guests.

Cons:

The weather on the Saturday!

A getaway through the gateway of the old historic abbey.
Pros:

Amazing and peaceful location in the heart of the village, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Being in the grounds of the abbey I was half expecting the breakfast to be bread and water 😂😂 ! But what we got was a superb full English , there were options too.

Pros:

Die Atmosphäre. Herrschaftliche Salons. Die Fahrräder waren gut untergebracht. Das Zimmer lag sehr ruhig.
Das parkähnliche Gelände mit vielen Blumen bietet eine Pracht. Die Ruinen des Restklosters und die Erklärungen des geschichtlichen Hintergrunds… Gut.

Whalley Abbey Retreat House is a Very Special Opportunity to Experience a Peaceful Stay..
Pros:

I have a mobility problem and was given a room with a walk in Shower. Tbe bed was comfortable and the chairs were a good height. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu. There is a lift to the first floor. It is a beautiful ancient house in a peaceful location surrounded by the ruins of the old Abbey. As a Retreat House, there is an opportunity to join worship in the chapel.

Cons:

Access to the house after 5pm is via the main door accessed by a steep staircase.
