Pros:

Good value and close to the sights. Make sure you’re ok with climbing stairs!
Pros:

Incredibly convenient location, lots of food nearby and short walk to the Golden Temple and the lovely pedestrian area. Lots of space in the room.

Cons:

Cleanliness could be better, and upper floors are only via steep stairs—no elevator.
