Lovely location. Friendly staff, large, quiet bedroom. Lots of options for food and drinks
nothing
Amenities and breakfast
Loud reception area due live band
Lot of outdoor space for walking, cycling for kids. Perfect location next to national park, wild life safari, etc.
Only the entrance looks clean. The room and the stairs leading to the rooms looks shabby and need renovation. They do not clean the rooms daily and according to their policy they clean only once in 5 days, which is kind of surprising for a resort. No one answers the call at front desk or maintenance from the room. The toilet rolls are very limited and runs out in 2 days and one need to literally go to front desk to get one additional roll. The staff was not very responsive nor seemed willing to serve or help. The facilities are old or dilapidated, ex: Swimming pool, which was closed most of the time stating repairs. The room itself was very old, the bunker bed had horrible mattress and a shaky unstable ladder, the water smelled like bleach, thus we did not trust drinking it from the taps.
Overall very unsatisfied with our stay and will never come back.
Location was ok
Not very clean in the bedrooms.
The bed was not comfortable.
Just outside the window there was car park. The main issue was there were few people who were drunk and shouting even till 1am and it was very disturbing to sleep specially for kids. Tried calling reception multiple times but no one answered.
Next morning the water ran out and we couldn’t even have a shower.
Plenty of nature and activities nearby so you dont have to be in the tired, noisy and unpleasant hotel.
Kids playpark is good.
Hotel is very tired, rooms creak and bang a lot, hear everyone walkong around corridors. On arrival (Thu evening) there is live music that is so loud you cant even speak to reception to check in, it was also unattended so had to go to the bar with two small children almost asleep and luggage to find someone to check in. Pool is dingy, slide is broken and it looks very little like the photos. Place is full of toy vending machines, arcade machines to sell plastic rubbish to kids and junk food. So you spend half the time saying "no you cant buy the overpriced rubbish/junk food we dont need" because it is in the kids faces
It is also expensive for what it is so is also poor value for money.at the end of it all. Ive stayed before, it didnt used to be this bad and tacky. Wont be back
The location was great.
The place was full of families with small children and overcrowded. There was a constant queue for check in, which took far too long considering we already checked in online. They also charge per person which is crazy for a family with kids. There was absolutely nothing for our teenagers to do past 8pm so that was super limiting. The staff were nice enough but clearly not loving working there. Checkout was at 10am which is ridiculous when check in is late at 4pm, which is a cash grab to charge people for a late check out. The rooms were small, stuffy and hot and no common area in a “family suite” to sit and watch a movie with the whole family. Not impressed. Everything was overpriced and overcrowded. I would never stay there again or recommend to anyone.
The location. Beautiful setting and very calming and quiet.
The staffs attitude. 95% seemed like they were unhappy at work. None spoke to guests when passing in the corridor. One man whom we presumed was the manager left staff to deal with queues of guests at reception, he didn't even have a name badge. I had one member of staff berate me in front of other guests about how to look after my disabled son when he went to the bar for a juice. When I went to speak to him later about it, when the bar was almost empty, I calmly asked what had happened, he continued to argue with me about how I should support my son while he went and bought his drink, my son is 23, has high functioning Autism and with a little patience from the public can be independent. The staff member was very young and in my opinion not trained properly on how to treat paying guests. I was utterly disgusted with how I was treated. I've worked in hospitality my whole working life and was gobsmacked by this.
The room was clean, bathroom spotless, there was however a large leakage stain and damage under the radiator, not enough, toilet roll or coffee and tea etc. The room wasn't serviced, according to the check-in sheet this is normal, if we want anything we've to ask which in itself isn't difficult but in a hotel of its reputation is very odd.
Tennis court was a mess, you can barely see the markings as its covered in weeds and moss.
We overhead other guests complaining about the facilities for their kiddies, the Fun House shuts at tea time, The Nook coffee area closes at 8 so you can't buy a coffee after that. The bar shuts at 11 even for guests.
Its like they are just going through the motions, there isn't a great deal of customer service, things just seem like a bother to the majority of the staff.
We most certainly won't be back, this hotel was known for its excellent service, it had a fab reputation, unfortunately the company owning it now clearly don't care and are running it into the ground.
Location.
The registration process was slow. The staff were not helpful. The rooms did not have any air circulation and the bathroom didn't have any exhaust fan.
Room was clean. Food was very good. Facilities pool/ sauna good.
Queuing 45 minutes to check in was unacceptable. Bar closing 10.30pm Sunday night??
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. All areas of the hotel were very clean. There was so much to do for all ages, my 11 year old son didn't get the chance to say "I'm bored" Dinner was excellent and the bar/lounge area was very comfy. The room was a good size with plenty of storage.
I felt breakfast was a little over priced and the strict 3pm check in left people queuing for a long time.
La ubicació.
No té ascensor i té moqueta.
Location was great, plenty for the children to do and the family suite was ideal to let the children sleep in peace.
Our suite was very hot, but the outside temperature wasn’t that hot - 10-17 degrees, especially for 2 young children. We had 2 fans already in the room which implies like they knew it was hot for whatever reason, but it was uncomfortably so at times and the fans had to be on 24/7 to make it bearable.
Staff were generally helpful and nice, but the pool staff were a little abrupt at times when we went to use the pool and it had closed due to a fault, and when asking for new bedding because our child spilt something on the originals.
Great location, relaxed, informal, outdoorsy, clean
Hallway roof collapsed due to water leak, dirty dishes in corridor, long waits at reception, bins not emptied during stay
Great selection for breakfast hot or cold
Pæne rene værelser. God parkering.
