Location of the A9 was good and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Tired looking decor in rooms. Rooms were dark and not so modern.
Lots to do
Not enough staff, long time waiting at coffee outlet and bar for staff to appear
Picture fell off wall at midnight, scared me to bits lol
Breakfast and Dinner were pre-booked times. VERY busy hotel with coach parties. Large buffet style meals - extensive menu choices, including vegetarian options. Bar staff friendly. Lots of "family-friendly" facilities which we didn't use. Local wood-walks without needing to drive. Close to Aviemore shops.
Whilst travelling there, I received messages to "check-in online" which I wasn't able to do whilst travelling. Called the "hotel" (actually put through to Hotel Group Central Switchboard) and was told if I didn't check in online, the booking might be cancelled! This in spite of confirming credit card details through booking.com at time of booking. Turned up at hotel to be told that the Hotel Group was going to compel all future bookings to be "online" in the future (other travellers beware!) Physical check-in (with a friendly and helpful check-in desk person) took a long time to complete: the hotel is a "coach party" hotel and there were several coaches due to check in after us.
Brilliant location. Wonderful hotel for families: brilliant warm pool: great depth for kids and a deeper one for adults/older kids! Great food. Nice big rooms
Rooms were very, very hot, mainly I think because the thick curtains were left open so the heat had built up during the day. no shelf in the bathroom to put anything?
lovely location, nice looking reception and restaurant areas. Friendly helpful staff
room was very hot, but it was a mini heatwave, a fan was supplied. didn't put me off visiting again.
Room only - used as base for Skiing and discovering area. The room was basic but absolutely fine for what we wanted. bathroom was clean and functional. the staff were brilliant and helped all through the stay, and the bar staff were great too. Food was good (we ate in the bar and ski lodge) and good value - Venison burgers were amazing. Great location for exploring and for getting to the ski resort on the mountain - would highly recommend and we will be back next year
Mooi hotel met fijne faciliteiten, zeker voor ons dochtertje.
De kamer was ontzettend warm en het raam kon helaas niet ver open.
Excellent choice for breakfast and Dinner well cooked and self served to make one’s own choice. Room was very clean and comfortable with all requirements available including Wi-Fi. Room was on ground floor as requested.
Difficult to establish what could have been better as all our requirements were present and available.
room was a nice size; generally comfortable; nice that it was on the ground floor and convenient for the bar and reception. It was also reasonably quiet.
The heating seemed to be set for a much colder outside temperature. It was probably 2-3 degrees too warm. The mattresses were springy but rather tough.
The location was good and there were a lot of facilities at the hotel.
The bed was very uncomfortable and the room and bathroom were tiny. The shower kept changing temperature and the fan in the bathroom didn't work
