Totally OK for locals and frequent visitors, but not recommended for tourists
Pros:

I really liked very much:
- extremely quick check-in and payment (Booking.com took already local tax, and receptionists just took a photo of my ID);
- cleanliness of all floors and the bed linen
- no need to leave room key at the reception
- receptionist was fluent in English.

I somehow also liked quite "nasty" former industrial area with all these illegal cigarette and perfume smugglers, very large ""market"" with almost solely the cheapest Chinese junk. For a freequent visitor, it was interesting to see that such places exist also in Budapest.

Location is good for the Keleti railway station as well as the major transport hub Kalvin ter; plus as a bonus to the cheapest of the spas - Dandar.

Half of the rooms not facing the main street are quit quiet, unless noisy neighbours in the hotel or in the ""market"". They woke me up with some very unpleasant beeping buzzer at midnight, but potentially they were buzzing from the reception to indicate to my noisy neighbours that they were just too noisy for the time after the midnights (who might even be the Czech people and not frequent Chinese and muslim guests at this de facto workers dorm, too).

Cons:

I was unlucky to book last moment on a national holiday weekend, ending up paying € 60/room/night for a room, which was OK given that at other times I benefited from dynamic pricing (its a market economy we always wanted :), so this reflects my criticism which I would not mention should I pay € 25-30 as usual for such places.

While totally OK for me, you should better know that it is a workers dorm sort-of-converted to a formal hotel, but the staff is sort of mixture of economic migrants and Hungarias whose quite careless behaviour one would not expect in a real hotel. But I totally understand with all the Chinese and muslim guests that are natural due to the neighbouring market, this is inevitable. But for tourists expecting,among other, smile, offering help or tourist info, I totally recommend to pay more for a real hotel.

Given it is still a workers dorm to a large extent, I guess providing a kettle and a cup would help, or have some sort of a common kitchen well advertised with posters.

Wifi was OK solely for emails, but not even for reading newspapers.

No soap provided at all.

Despite all, should I end up booking at a very last moment with this hotel being the cheapest option, I would stay again. It is good primarily for us budget travellers that such facilities exist and make a huge competition of facilitiers in the city centre even more intensive, making Budapest one of the most affordable capitals to visit and enjoy all its spas etc.
