The hotel was in a good location for us to attend a wedding at a local church.
The breakfast was cooked to order of good quality and hot. I congratulated the staff on the quality of the breakfast and I heard my message being relayed on to the chef.
The bar and the kitchen was closed at 4pm . No light meals were being served prior to this after check in- only carvery which had to be booked!.. We were made aware that the bar and the kitchen was closed at 4pm after we had booked. A breakfast menu was provided. For hot food the choice was a full English breakfast and that's all. There were juices , water and tea and coffee, however there was only one glass per person. There was no hot water in the sink- only in the electric shower.
We left the door open to outside as it was a beautiful day. Right outside our door was a round table where the staff congregated for breaks and to smoke.
When I turned the shower on in the morning a member of housekeeping shoute to my daughter" is the shower on". My daughter answered yes and the lafy said that she was drying towels in the dryer and the shower would trip the switch!!

It was a cold day and the room was very cold when we arrived, the small heater took a little while to heat the room.
Booking in procedure was quick and efficient and staff helpful. Evening meal was excellent and well presented and a good choice on the menu. Breakfast does feel a bit rushed with such a short time slot but didn't affect us too much as we had to be on our way as soon as possible anyway to complete our journey. Will definitely book here again for our next overnight stop on the way to our daughter in Scotland.
As mentioned the short time slot for breakfast did make it appear rushed but the service is extremely quick and efficient. On a personal note would prefer a King size bed, rather than a double, especially with the temperatures we've been experiencing lately!!
