This was a great hotel in a great place with friendly staff that went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay as special as possible :)
Highly recommend!
The staff are fantastic
I feel the rooms need up dating especially wardrobes and the bathrooms.
Location was excellent and breakfast was made to order
Food was very good
Restaurant service was a disaster. To start … a lady checked our original reservation but instead of putting us in a nice position as requested a few weeks ago, having explained that it was a birthday celebration, they placed us in a dingy corner next to the kitchen service door which did not make us happy. A young lad kept coming up to ask us if we wanted water (not taking no for an answer). I went to the reception and asked the girl why they put us there as I was not happy and she stated that when the place was full they could not guarantee your seating (but the place was not full; also, they had offered a young couple, who entered immediately before us, a choice of tables. She then said we could move and offered us to choose between two tables in the middle of the restaurant, which was better. After we put our food order in I went again to ask whether they had received my notice re allergy to garlic but obviously the reservation office and the restaurant staff do not communicate as the girl did not know about it, even though the reservation office confirmed that they were aware and had called me a day before to say everything was in place and asked whether we wanted to reserve a meal for the next day as well. The lady that originally received us was chatting with a couple (who had a table in a prominent position by the window) for approximately 30 minutes and then moved to another couple seated next to us and chatted for 10 minutes. Afterwards, she came briefly to us (after we had finished our starters) to ask whether we wanted to change the table again for the (now vacant) window table but we refused as it now did not make sense and the mood was gone.
Room 19 which was allocated to us (executive sea view double room) had a connecting door to room 20 and you could hear noise and slamming door from there.
