Perfect location, with a cozy single room. Above a lovely restaurant with super tasty pizza! The staff were lovely and explained everything! Tasty breakfast with the best chocolate muffins. Would definitely stay again!
Loud before 11pm, but if you’re an early sleeper, just use ear plugs.
Excelente ubicación para recorrer Varenna y el Lago di Como. El alojamiento está en pleno casco histórico, sobre una pizzería en la plaza principal, un punto ideal desde donde comienzan prácticamente todos los recorridos por el pueblo.
Se encuentra a unos 800 metros del embarcadero desde donde salen los barcos hacia Bellagio, Menaggio y otros destinos del lago, por lo que resulta muy cómodo para moverse sin necesidad de utilizar el auto.
El edificio cuenta con ascensor. Nuestra habitación era algo pequeña, pero estaba bien aprovechada, con una cama cómoda de 1,60 m. Al estar en el último piso, el baño tenía algunas zonas con techo inclinado, algo a tener en cuenta para las personas más altas. Como punto a favor, disponía de una pequeña salida al exterior con dos sillitas, perfecta para tomar un café o relajarse un rato después de recorrer la zona.
En general, una muy buena opción para quienes priorizan la ubicación y quieren disfrutar de Varenna caminando.
Como único detalle a tener en cuenta, el acceso al alojamiento se realiza a través del restaurante ubicado en la planta baja. Dependiendo del horario de llegada, puede ser necesario atravesar la zona donde se encuentran los comensales, algo que puede resultar un poco incómodo si se llega con equipaje o en momentos de mucha afluencia de gente.
The location was perfect, room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was amazing and the gentleman in charge of breakfast remembered our drinks and got them for us each day.
The onsite restaurant was very good and so nice after a long day.
We especially loved the balcony with chairs over the piazza. I think we had the best room overlooking the piazza activity but giving some space from the crowd.
There was a laundry facility nearby which was very convenient.

El millor de l'hotel és la seva ubicació, el bell mig de Varenna, i a poca distància caminant de qualsevol dels llocs interessants del poble.
Es tracta bàsicament d'un restaurant on han aprofitat unes quantes habitacions de la planta primera per fer-hi un alberg.
Les habitacións son humils, però estan molt netes i el llit és molt cómode.
També és prou lluminós i les vistes a una de les places principals del poble són magnífiques.
Hagués posat una puntuació de 9 si no fos pel preu. Si aquest s'ajustés a la filosofia del lloc, alberg petit però net i molt ben ubicat seria una molt bona opció per qui volgués un lloc així. Pero vaig pagar preu per nit d'habitació de luxe. I Albergo del Sole està molt lluny de ser això.
El personal està més per la pizzeria que pels clients allotjats. El negoci principal sembla clarament el restaurant.

The location was excellent. Easy access to the whole town. Breakfast was exceptional. The attached restaurant had great food at a fair price. The staff had limited English but went out of their way to understand and be helpful.

The property was central to everything, really quite pretty to look at and the staff were lovely. The food was yummy and the room was a good size and the view from the balcony was perfect.
