Very enjoyable, and we will certainly recommend to others and, stay again if we are in the area.
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The breakfast was extremely good and served nicely.
The situation of the hotel was very picturesque and the grounds of the hotel were lovely.

Cons:

The only thing we could criticise was that our poached eggs for breakfast were very cool. ( cold runny yolks , not pleasant) .
Also we only stayed one night, Tuesday, when the restaurant wasn’t open. However the local pub served great food.

Great room spoilt by NO Shower only a free standing bath
Pros:

Great location, superb breakfast.
Staff are lovely, so friendly& cheerful.

Cons:

Our Bedroom was really lovely & comfortable, but there was only a bath, no shower, apart from a handheld shower spray within in the bath, but nowhere to connect it to you had to hold it over yourself. The bath was in the middle of the floor. The spray was difficult to control, causing water to end up all over the bathroom floor.

The best hotel that we stayed in UK
Pros:

We spent 2 weeks in UK and this hotel was the best one though we only stayed for 1 night. Situated on the riverside, it's the British countryside hotel that we expected. Beautiful environment, room is carefully decorated (and clean, of course). Staffs are nice. I left my hat in the room and just realized it when I arrived Chatsworth House, so I called them and they help found and kept it until I returned to pick it up. Its full English breakfast was also really good!

Cons:

none

Great hotel in a lovely location. We would definitely return
Pros:

Great location in a lovely quiet spot. Good parking facilities and lovely garden/terrace area. Room was lovely and comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food was really good as was breakfast the following morning

Cons:

Some fresh fruit would have been a nice addition at breakfast.

An exceptional hotel which isn't always easy to find. Thank you.
Pros:

The hotel is set in a beautiful location with lovely garden views & I made the best choice in booking my ground floor garden room for 2 nights, as I have difficulty with mobility. The style of the room was very tasteful, especially with having access to your own personal bench & table in the garden, although I just wish I'd had the time to use it.
All the staff were friendly & very helpful & nothing was too much trouble & of course breakfast was superb with lots of choice available. If I ever visit Derbyshire again, I will certainly be booking Rafters at Riverside House

Cons:

The only slight problem I found was the water from the hot tap over the handbasin in the bathroom, was extremely hot, so I had to be very careful. Maybe an extra shelf next to the handbasin in the bathroom would be useful to place a soap bag on, as the only shelf was rather narrow & perhaps some liquid handwash rather than just hard soap.

Für 2 Nächte ok, aber bei längeren Aufenthalt unbedingt ein schöneres und größeres Zimmer nehmen!
Pros:

Der Ort war sehr schön, ebenso das Äußere des Hotels und die Umgebung

Cons:

Wir hatten das falsche Zimmer gebucht. Das Standardzimmer war zu eng und dunkel

Gorgeous treat for a stay
Pros:

Mixed feelings about our stay. This wonderful inn is absolutely gorgeous and in a perfect village with great places to eat. The only thing that let it down was how hot our room was (room 4) even though the weather was quite mild. As others have said the fans they have don’t work very well. So I didn’t sleep well for the 3 nights due to our hot room (it was cold outside). A simple fan would fix it and make it a perfect stay. I do like an espresso with breakfast and we couldn’t get one despite it being available on the menu which is a shame too. Petty gripe I know. If it’s cool weather and you don’t care about espresso you will love everything about this fabulous place. Oh I forgot - the excitement of coming home to those delicious pastries in your room too.

A stay that dreams are made of.
Pros:

Just a dream come true. I was obsessed with the bath in my room. I thought the breakfasts were delicious and so much more than I expected.

Cons:

I loved everything.
